  1. If you consider a standalone, the Link G4+ Xtreme is a good choice. I have one and it can control E-Throttle, boost (you can even switch between sequential and parallel mode), traction control etc ... You just have find a tuner who works with it But in the end, almost all actual standalone can manage every car in a very good way, just go with the one that you tuner prefer
  2. i had the same issue when i swapped my Supra vvti from auto to manual. i put a Mine's manual ECU for VVTI, and the car was running fine for some miles, but then the engine light came on and the car finally shut off. When i tried to restart it, i didn't have all the lights (incl. engine light) coming on, and it won't start. i putted back the auto ECU and everything was fine. Made several tests and get always the same result. I think it's a ECU issue itself, i spotted some brown liquid inside it. I finally went to standalone with a new wiring loom, so i didn't really resolve the original issue ^^ I'm interested in the answer for that !
  3. Hello guys ! I was wondering what could happen if i run my VVTi manual ECU without speed signal coming from the gearbox or dash ? Could it fail ? could it cut all throttle response and shut off the car ? Thanks !
  4. Hello ! Do you know how many miles they have seen ? And maybe how much power/torque ? Thx Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk
  5. The mine's ÉCU is for VVTi, reference is 89661-14830. Don't have any photo right now, but I'm sure of that, search long enough to assure it I may have found a lead : in stock manual supra, the VSS signal goes to cluster, and then from cluster to ECU. I wired the VSS simultaneously to the cluster and to the ÉCU. And it's seems that the ECU doesn't like it as it's not the correct signal (the signal is normally modified in the cluster before going to the ECU) Will do the test this week and I'll let you know Thanks for your ideas Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk
  6. Hello all ! i'm having some issues with my Supra. It's a GTE VVTi, was tiptronic, and i just swapped it to manual (R154). The ECU was changed for a Mine's manual. It started and ran perfectly. After 30min of running to bleed the cooling system, and driving for 10 min, i stopped to refill the car, restarted it and after 1 mile, i got no response of the throttle pedal, engine light managment goes on, and car just stop (smoothly, just as if i cut it off with the key). I was "playing" with my turbo pressure manometer connection, which also buged. And then, impossible to start again ! Prior to that failure, the only dash light coming on was "Slip cont off", but randomly blinking. When i turn the key on "on" some lights don't come on (Slip cont off for example !) as it should. I tried with my "old" auto ECU, and it starts perfectly. It was a good news as i could bring back the car at home, but i would really like to enjoy my Mine's ECU Any ideas ? (i'm just praying that the ECU didn't die) Thanks !
  7. Hello ! I need one of these too ! Gray3787 i could be interested by yours !
  8. Any update ? I'm thinking about this conversion too !
  9. Going to go manual with a R154 too ! I follow your topic with a lot of attention Where have you find the correct propshaft for the box ? Your Supra looks great !
  10. The more your offset is important the more the entire rim is deported to the exterior. Of course the fitting of the tyre doesn't change i agree with you, but the warning is about the fitting of the whole rim (+tyre) inside rear arches
  11. Depends of your offset ! I have 275 on 9.5 ET35 and i had to roll arches. Perfect now but it has to ne known
  12. Oh okay ! I didnt know that the gearbox shift up automatically even in manual mode (never tried, that's why i didnt understand !) Thanks ! I can downshift hard mindfree now
  13. i'm sorry but i'm not sure to really understand (indeed, i'm french and some turns of phrase are sometimes hard to understand ^^) If i summarize, you down shift with your paddles when your gearbox already downshift automaticaly, to allow better acceleration in the end of the corner ? Correct me if i'm wrong , and if i am, can you give me an example, maybe i could figure it out more easily Thomas
  14. Hi Jay, apparently you ran some trackdays with your Supra, and as i'm a vvti tiptronic owner too, i was wondering how you proceed with your gbox ? I mean, i suppose you drive in manual mode, but do you downshift with the paddle when braking ? I'm a bit concerned to do that as i don't know if it's made for ? And your Supra looks stunning, like brand new, congrats for your work ! If i can give my POV, stay with a SMIC (Whifbitz or enventually CW), especially if you continue to book some trackdays. The cooling issues are common with FMICs, as it block the air flow to the radiator. If you don't plan to go over 600hp, it's not necessery
