  1. I love minis! I've had loads of them; 850, 998, 1275, pickups, vans. Been all over france in them too. Great cars. Apart from that silly little rubber water hose that goes between the head and the block - bastard thing.
  2. Careful guys, Blata is gonna go off on one again!
  3. Jake

    Sock Puppets?

Let's leave Alex out of this. I'm surprised Martin wasn't aware of the term though.
  4. It's ALWAYS Sat night/Sun morning. Usually 2am back to 1am I think
  5. Mate, I hate to break it to you but some chav has graffiti'd your tyres with white paint!
  6. Turbos failing isn't common. Cracked rads and sheared crank pulleys are pretty common but usually not silly money to fix. (say a couple of hundred) but otherwise they are pretty reliable. You seem to be worried about maintenance costs. Running costs are the biggest issue for most of us. I say 'issue' rather than 'problem' because it's something you just accept, or not. If you can afford to run a Supra the maintenance shouldn't be a problem.
  7. No, I would change it anyway. It's not an expensive job - the same as 3 or 4 tanks of fuel, so WTF just change it to be on the safe side. OTOH, worst case scenario, you're going to be stuck somewhere with a broken car that you need to get to a garage. Personally I'd just get it changed but if you feel like a gamble you aren't risking much.
  8. Who cares what some car trader has or hasn't heard of? The five year thing isn't a 'rule of thumb' , it's what Toyota say. They probably know more about it than your import trader does.
  9. None? Supras don't bend valves if the cambelt breaks. Non-interference design innit.
  10. You suck at teh quoting. "Where"? What? Hell bent? Daily Mail reader perchance? I do love it when whiney newbies come on here and start telling us how our club should be. Please feel free to fook off back to wherever it was you came from if this club isn't to your liking. Don't mention it.
  11. Apparently. Not by me though. So you think the club's been going downhill lately? Obviously this must be a very recent thing, seeing as you've only been a member for five minutes Do you? You stick to that then.
  12. Which threads are you thinking of? Apart from the Havard's Missus being called a slag thread I haven't seen any arguments.
  13. Aaah, Jezz beat me to it. . . I was just thinking about this while out having a smoke just now. The 2JZ sump is in two parts; an alloy part that bolts to the block and a pressed steel oil pan that bolts to that. I guess you'd need both parts from a Supra 2JZ for fitting to a 1JZ. And not all Supra sumps are the same either. eg the VVTi 2JZ-GTE has a different sump arrangement to the old style 2JZs.
  14. I think I know what he means; the part of the sump that hangs down the lowest and makes the 'well' of oil for the pickup. I suppose he could be right in calling that part of the the oil pan the sump, I've always called the whole of the tin oil pan the sump. Aaaaanyroad, now we (I) know what he's after . . . anyone got one?
  15. Have you seen John's car? It's one of the finest cars owned by anyone in this club.
  16. Don't tell me she's welsh as well !
  17. Sadly the sound on this is borked, so I'm not getting the full effect.
  18. No, you were right. How shocking is this : http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7935064058166993925 Did you see the inappropriate use of the apostrophe? Scandalous.
  19. I do remember it well. I think it was actually called Aids, wasn't it?
  20. Definitely NOT Livingonkos It sounds like a dieting website
  21. Is that specifically for the Samsung or for all LCDs? The picture quality on my 37" LCD JVC is nothing to write home about, especially considering it's a £1700 model.
  22. UK scoop, active spoiler. Nice. Paint the bonnet and do the wheels silver and that would be a very good looking Supra. Is it a manual?
