  1. mark - when you find out the settings - would you please let me know as i am running similar cams but mine doesn't seem to be lumpy at all - wondering if my settings may need adjusting. ta.
  2. you have GOTTA be kiddin' me ! beware the pack of dogs led by earth that are about to tear down your door with offers - PMSL.... just about annnyyyyyy minute now ........ boys ?
  3. can we look at the 14th and after ? am totally up for anyplace personally (south of france?) ...... pete, as far as daughters go, don't you go believen' earth and his pious man act ! this is the man that wanted NEONS to get the young girlies in calais into his dirty great supe ! sham - the overnight sounds good but i hope the date is after the 14th (think i am back from Asia only on the 13th!) - PLEEASE ! and before you start - i don't whinge like ash n sky ! laterz blud.....
  4. thank you terry. like peter said - glad he started this thread and something to bear in mind in due course.
  5. more good news ... terry/paul - i realise this is a difficult question to answer due to the vagaries but how fast in your opinion will this start causing problems ? i drive the car in city traffic daily and the odd weekend motorway blast ? thanks
  6. i was on of those that went to france over the last weekend so really gave it some (well as far as i could as the fuelling hasn't been sorted out yet). i detected no loss in low down power (i have been driving it in to work to get a feel) and go through the usual traffic light sprints with beemer drivers (when will they ever learn!). in france, even at *40 leptons, it was still pulling like an express train and just kept on and on, where it would get a bit breathless before.
  7. peter - not sure if this is any help but i have just had the hks 264s both in and out put in last week but am unsure on the gear settings. the one question i can answer is the issue of lumpiness - none! i can barely discern that the cams have been changed. if yu listen really close - there is only an extremely slight difference in the engine tone. there is no real difference is spool time/lag that i a have been aware of.
  8. PMSL...are we that predictable ?
  9. good luck with the new venture pete. i'm sure the guys here will help make it a worthwhile effort.
  10. i think you need to post about 200 times b/4 u can do that mate.

  12. amen to that rule brother ..... milly - eerrr sorry i mean earth, it really is your fault for leaving it lying on the table ! i left mine in the car because if they saw that, they would have choked on their beers. snow - i say you post it on the BBS ! BTW - ash where wuz you man ? missed you on the open road !!
  13. hi guys - if any of you have a pic of my car (sideways profile or bonnet shot) - i would appreciate it very much if you could e-mail me a copy so i can update the pic on my avatar. actually, even if there is a rear-end shot (no...not that rear paul!), that would be great as well. thanks in advance. a combo of all of all of the above would be nice as well.......
  14. hiya guys - i see some of us are still not awake yet. this was my first trip by car to the continent and it WOZ a blast!! great day, great company and of course some great cars. i could not believe the reaction of the people, especially in calais - they were ga ga over the cars. big up to to da man they call 'rokka' - sham, it was a top day and thank you for arranging it and sorting everything out. despite some of the problems - think all had a great time. thank you. si - good to meet you and thanks for doing all that running around with the camera. top man. paulE - good to see you again (and jacqui). looks like more bling bling on the way ? man - i dunno about those neons tho... dave (snow) - good to put a face to a name finally. i think you must have used up the most amount of gas zooming up and down the convoy taking pics. rich just HAD to break that trampoline - no wonder we never got any change back ! chris - again, very nice to meet you and while i wasn't sure about the rims in pictures - very different story in real life ! they are sweet. think you should change your name to 'wheelspinner at every opportunity'...... dave(daverex) - great to meet you. thanks for the camera and we should catch up soon over a beer (or at g-force?). deffo the loudest man there... marco(and g/f) - nice to meet you and that is one sweet machine. peter n stef - guess lunch was going fine until the knife went ! raoul/rx-7 friends/fast - great to meet you guys. i still want a ride in a rex some time - LOL.. i hope i haven't missed anyone and if i have - my apologies. so guys - when/where next ? 20. earth - i am hoping to make it back in time for this. i get the wheels back early friday then have to do some alignment work and get on a dyno to do some tuning. if not maybe i will catch you in soho (ooops) or if not - sat morning. laterz blud..
  21. i'd guess then you and your car are safe huh snow ? just kiddin' man....
  22. oi earth you lazy bugger - gotten over your jet lag yet ?
  23. wez - i have used DBA slotted/drilled discs (including 5.1 fluid n steel brake line) on a previous car in singapore (it was a toyota corona - carina here but i had put in a supercharged engine from australia). i found them to be quite good quality and performance. mind you - that engine put out just under 200bhp and has nowhere near the supra's performance so i am not sure how it will hold out in a higher powered vehicle. hope this helps. http://www.dba.com.au
  24. earth - remind me never to ask you for directions again !
