  1. Hi mate. Don't suppose you have the boot polystyrene ?? Thanks
  2. Ok, just been out and taken one... It shows the original bolt in place, but this will not come out and is loose.....
  3. Hi all, Was removing my fuel tank cover a little while ago, after I got it off I noticed the bolt that holds on the fuel tank strap wasn't quite tight, done it up and then "Snap" !!! the bolt has snapped and is half in the thread still but kind of loose, I think what it screws into has broke.... Anyway...... Can I drill a new hole close to the original and put a nut and bolt through it ? Is it ok to drill that piece of metal ? Does it go through into the boot area to be able to thread a nut on the bolt ? If not, anyone got any suggestions ? Many thanks
  4. Ok, Update... Well, I took it off and all clips are present. I guess this is how it is supposed to go.... Can anyone else confirm that theirs is the same.... ? Thanks
  5. Thanks for help guys.... I'll pull it off and take a look..
  6. Been spending the last week stripping everything down and replacing every screw, bolt etc and came across this yesterday... The plastic cover that attaches to the actual boot seems to have a gap at the ends, it doesn't sit tight to the boot, its the same both sides, the rest of it seems to be fitted tight, apart from the two ends... Is this normal, or has someone missed off some clips.... ? Also, how does this come off ? I gave it a tug, but seemed very tight, didn't want to pull too hard and snap something... Many thanks
  7. Update... Ok, managed to fix it. Screwed up the nut tight, then it seemed to work... ? Strange.... anyway, yes, gradually turned the nut and the seat slowly moved forward... Took the seat out and on the centre console side, that white threaded "bung" I said I found was meant to screw into something... replaced it and all works perfect !! Elmo, thanks for your help...
  8. Thanks for the reply. I have found some nuts under at the front of the rails... The one closest to the door spins as I use the button, so is working ok... The other side (closest to the centre console) is the side that seems to be jammed.... there is a 10mm nut that side, but when I undo it, the nut comes off... ??? Any ideas ?? Many thanks, Im desperate to get this sorted...
  9. Hi all, Went to move the drivers seat forward (electric) and its packed up !!! Something on the left side of it (centre console side) has stopped working, down the side of there, I found a white plastic round thing, presuming this has come of somehow... Anyway, how do I go about removing the seat, as I cant get to the back bolts because the seat is too far back... ??? Thanks
  10. Hi all, Im after the polystyrene that sits on the LEFT hand side of the space saver.... and maybe the piece of wood with the arrow on that also sits on the LEFT side... Many thanks
  11. Stripped out my drivers side door card to get to the window switches and saw this plug wasn't connected.... Any ideas what it is ? Many thanks
  12. Hi guys, Yup, connected it to the back of the ciggy lighter and all works perfect !!! Thanks for your help
  13. High all, An update from my previous thread... Started new thread.... I have a rear fog light, but couldn't find the switch for it, ready for the mot... Anyway, I have traced the wires from the rear fog to the front and found a switch hidden in the depths of the dashboard.... I flicked it on, but nothing !! Please see pics... At the fog light end there are 2 wires, one going to the actual light and the other one is earth. At the switch end, there are 3 wires on the back of it, one goes to earth, which looks good. one is the wire going back to the actual fog light. the last one is power and looks as if its attached to something from the stereo wires...This was covered in tape, but I took the tape off to reveal the connection and looks good... Someone please help me... Could it be the actual switch is packed up ? Many thanks
  14. I'm not sure if genuine ones have been used to be honest... So, if I get some from Toyota, they should be stronger ?? Those yellow ones in the pic look good, anyone know where these can be purchased ? Can't seem to find any.... Thanks
  15. My exhaust rubber mounts on back box keep failing.... Normal rubber ring things..... I want to "upgrade" them for something stiffer... I keep seeing universal mounts on the internet, but I'm unsure what I need, shape / size etc... Can anyone tell me more accurately what I need to buy and where from.... Thank you
  16. Thanks for the quick reply... Ill have a look again tomorrow when its light... If I remove the dash panels, but cant find any switch ( Im sure there is no switch behind them, as ive had the panels off before ) what wires am I looking for ? colour ? etc... Many thanks
  17. Hi All, Had my mechanic round today, getting my car ready for the road again... (Jap spec, 1995) He said to me "Wheres your rear fog switch".... We both looked all over and couldn't find anything... Is there a "common" place these are positioned.... ? I have the rear fog in the bumper and the car has had well over 10 UK MOT's at various locations, I thought the rear fog had to be operational to pass the MOT.. I cant find anything... ?? Any help / advise would be appreciated... Thanks
  18. Thanks mate, appreciate your input... I'll have a look at the weekend..
  19. I haven't got any pictures, but when you take out a headlight, you can't miss them, there is 2 black clips, about 1" long, there is a lip on the bumper which kinda slides into the clips... Anyone else know if there are any other bolts I can undo to slacken the bumper off to enable me to be able to slide the bumper into these clips properly... ????
  20. Ah ha, should have mentioned that, I saw two black clips under the headlight, the bumper is pushed into both of these, but not all the way, I tried pushing it in more, but of course, just springs back out.... Bumper has never been off, apart from maybe when it was re sprayed a few years ago.... ????
  21. Hi all, Realised when changing my lights that the n/s side of the bumper under the light doesnt fit properly... After having the light out, I had a look in and around the bumper, but all seems correct... The pics don't make it look that bad, but its really bugging me... Its as if the bumper is not sitting "back" in its place.. Also around the bottom of the light, where it meets the bumper there is a gap all around, again making it seem as if the bumper isn't "back" enough... Is the any "movement" / "adjustment" when fitting the bumper ? TIA
  22. Going to be getting my dash panels painted in a few weeks, but was wondering what people do regarding the clock ? Does this stay original colour, or get painted ? From what I can see, the clock looks a pain to be painted because of the lettering and small buttons.. Any help much appreciated.
  23. Hi all, Where is the best place to get the dash screws from ? The ones that hold the top strip above the dials.. Or does anyone know what size etc they are ? Thanks
