leave him alone, so a what if hes trying to strike up a conversation with a female member of the group, and anyone who feels intimidated by someone who is sending such pm to their other half just shows insecurity, I for one wouldnt be too bothered.
  2. lol yeah! Well I thought my credit score was based on my payment history alone and not how much I actually was borrowing as that comes after! Stupid me!
  3. ok well have got to the bottom of this, as was suggested earlier if you apply for/except a lot of mortgages or loans in a short period of time it brings your credit score down significantly (upto 40%!). We have just a) remortgaged (so effectivley taken out another mortgage) b) got a new mortgage product for buy to let c) got a second new mortgage product for buy to let d) remortgaged another property the above combined with the number of further searches all within a space of 4 weeks has crashed my credit score but Experian reckon it will mend itself in 6 months as there is nothing else contributing to it. They also suggested adding ourselves the electrol role. I always knew searches reduced your credit score but didn't realise by so much! Also the more mortgages/loans you have also reduces the score.
  4. I actually thought Saw 2 was better than 3 but cant wait to see 4! My missus hates guts and gore so will have to DL it!
  5. Speaking of halloween heres a tasty bitch I mean witch!
  6. Bet you dont open your door to carol singers either! Well i'm gonna start on mine tonight, seems to be a competition round here so im going to try and get some stencils. J.B's pumpkins are quite good - wonder if he's started his yet
  7. Yes we were not on the electrol role in this house but my credit score is still 900+ without being on there.
  8. yeah gonna call them tommorow - is it also worth repeating the exercise with Equifax or should then both hold the same/similiar info?
  9. oh yes - cheers mate, well thank fcuk nothings there! p.s all your info has been pretty spot on but frustratingly inconclusive as there doesnt seem to by a dickie against my name!
  10. does anyone know how I can check if someone has filed a CCJ against me? Or would it be shown in the Experian report? Every outgoing payment I have has a 'O' (for 'ontime') next to it so it cant be that I am a late payer!
  11. I have moved around like a gypsy in the last three years as have been doing a fair amount of property developing but my credit score has always been 900+, whatevers happened has occured after the 2nd of October as we where okayed for another mortgage back then. It scares me that my history is in the region of CCJ's ! as I dont have any (that I know of). And when we moved house back in March I ensured all bills were cleared and nothing was outstanding. I have done the Experian online check but there doesnt seem to be anything at all showing WHO has put a 'black mark' against me - all it shows is people who have done checks on me in the past and thats it:(
  12. Supra pilot - thanks for this, I have looked at the 'detailed report' as you suggested and it doesnt seem to have any adverse details, infact all the mortgages/loans etc we have have a 'paid & up to date' symbol against them. Jefferson - yes we have had about 3 quotes this week but surely this cant knock my score down from 900+ to 336! can it? Im suspecting fraud or some kind of major f*ck up somewhere!
  13. cheers mate, does anyone know if you miss a credit card payment it knocks back your credit score significantly for that month? My credit card company fecked up and missed taking a payment and I am wondering if it is them who have put me in a shitter!?
  14. Well when you apply for the mortgage they credit score you - if you pass then they will also look at all the other factors before they offer it in principal. We have 4 'buy to let' mortgages and our broker said it was a straight credit score decline. I got the detailed report from Experiena but it only says who has applied for credit searches *not who has given me a 'black mark' so its a bit weird.
  15. Well basically have had a very high credit score (900+ with no defaults) for years, yesterday we applied for a mortgage and we were declined which was very surpising as we have no outstanding/late payments etc...I have done an online credit check with experian and they reckon my credit score is: 'Your score is: 336 on a scale of 0-1000 - Very Poor This score will usually mean your report shows that you have had serious repayment problems in the recent past' :Pling: We have never had any credit history problems EVER! I did have a call from my credit card company the other week who said they had an internal problem and couldnt collect the money last month and would take double this month but this cant be why my score has gone down so significantly can it? I am suspecting fraud etc... Can anyone advise how I can actually now drill down into what EXACTLY has caused the credit score to go down from 900+ tp 300? Naturally shitting it as we work hard to get the things we want and this could seriously screw us over so any help/advise would be appreciated;)
  16. right - its all been done and I have escalated it in accordance with your instructions - cheers dude! Hope you(we) are right and not him!
  17. cheers guys - MarbleApple, im going to follow your instructions right now. He has just wrote this: "Thats not true that they will not give you the information. I did my part by sending the item and I am faxing your details and you have to chase it with royal mail. Otherwise it is not as easy you think that you will just get your money from pay pal. Paypal will have to investigate and if they find that the item was posted, they will ask you to follow it up with Royal mail. Dont just threaten, Do your part. I know ebay rules very well and that is why I have 100% feedback just like yourself. Stop treating me like I dont know the rules. Do your part, I have sent you the tracking number. Come to me when royal mail says I didnt send it"
  18. I reckon its got lost in the post or nicked by Royal Mail staff, and I see your point regarding the tracking number. If first class recorded is only insured upto £32 then if it has gone missing then I dont think I will get the full value refunded and if I open a paypal dispute they will just ask him for a tracking number and then ask him to get compensation through royal mail - can anyone clarify this from past experience?
  19. Yes I did pay by Paypal - I emailed the seller stating that I hadnt received the item and the seller sent me this: "Unfortunately you can't cancel payment because the item was posted on 10/10/07 and the tracking no is DL6149 1510 7GB. What happens in the post is really not the sellers problem. You need to track your item using the reference I have given you. If you need me to email you the receipt I can do so." Glad i've got a resident expert on hand ;-) Question - cant the seller just say it has got lost in the mail and provide the tracking number to proove he DID post it, therefore eliminating the Paypal refund? I dont wanna piss anyone off thats all.
  20. I did find this on the 6th bullet point down http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/seller-non-performance.html
  21. thanks dude - I think the problem may be because the 'recorded delivery' only insures up to £40 pounds or something. With what I understand Paypal dispute console seems to wash its hands of 'failed deliveries' - anyone had any first hand experience of gaining a refund it the item hasnt been delivered due to 'lost in post' scenario? p.s dude your names like mine!
  22. Basically bought an Ipod off a guy on Ebay on the 10/10/07 - he reckons he has posted it a few days later (via 'recorded signed for delivery') He is scanning the receipt to me but if it has got lost in the post etc 1) who is responsible to get compensation from Royal Mail? The seller or buyer? 2) Can I get a refund from Paypal based on non delivery? As a tracking number has been provided but I have not received the item 3) If the seller hasnt insured the item to the market value who is responsible? (no postal insurance was offered with the item). Please advise as Ebay 'help' section seems fairly vague on answers
  23. cheers dude - gonna try a mates black controller to see if that is any better. Thought one of the techies may have been able to shed some light on it
  24. old ps2 its a few years old. Question - do all the PS1 Controllers have 'PS1' written on them? Reason I ask is I *may have an old PS1 controller which has worked on all previous games but a search on google suggests they dont work on all games ( two of my controllers are light grey and they say 'ps1' the other one which I am using is dark grey but doesnt say 'ps1' on it so I presumed it was a ps2 controller)
