  1. never heard this before
  2. ESTA online mate, job done, you get an email notification to say 'its all good' - you can get it a week before you travel but I would advise doing it sooner incase you are on the al Qaeda black list or something
  3. mate for 10k I would say they are likely to be buying a money pit! do they HAVE to have a 4x4/SUV can they get an estate? That opens up a lot of options imo
  4. fook sake not giving away much are they! looks like the roofs been painted and i assume the rest of the body too
  5. how is getting advise on paint protection film related to posting the production pictures/ process about the car 'essentially the same thing' ? and how are just two other threads ever classed as 'a lot of threads'
  6. ive been on this forum now for 13 years, when I was waiting for my supe from Japan back in the day I used to post multiple threads and pics up and members did the same, im sorry if its across like im posing but its nothing like that, im just excited and want to share the experience with like minded people who I know on the forum, who knows it might inspire some people to open a business like I did I tell my wife, she thinks its just a silver version of the car I already have lol and after all this is still a car forum isnt it? ive posted two threads about the 488 and one was about how I should get it prepped as there are some pro detailers on here, excessive? I dont think so for the other 4 posts above, nice to see there is still some class left in the club For those interested I will try and keep the updates on this thread instead of starting new ones
  7. I think the days of owning the 'top dog' 4x4 being a Range rover are numbered with the levante, bentayga, urus, dbx etc coming out theres a lot more competition in the market place. Arguably someone who spends circa 125k on an Overfinch might spend a bit more on a Bentley (even thought i think the Bentayga is a bit fugly!)
  8. my daughters in love, nice work
  9. ...then got this! and its apparently going to be with me by the end of May!
  10. heres mine, I bought it brand new and would never keep it beyond the 3 years warranty period, ive ALWAYS had X5 or Q7's and comparitively the build quality seems poorer, squeeks from the dashboard already and the user interface is not as good as say my wifes new model X5. on a plus side it looks the nuts and the interior is to die for, the power (4.4 v8 diesel) is sublime. I will go back shortly to get the squeeks and other bits sorted under warranty. I would suggest Q7 or better still X5 - much more reliable IMO
  11. nice one mate, nice bunch of cars there, was looking at the M5 before I bought the finch
  12. its getting a level 2 pre delivery by Topaz as part of the purchase, ive just been quoted £4.5k for full PPF which seems good value My only thing is that it wont look as glossy and I wont be able to wax it whats the special car? ?
  13. cheers dude, watched them both, ive always avoided full paint protection film as i like waxing my cars, maybe if i do the level 3 detail and the paint protection it will look pristine under the film anyway everytime i wash it
  14. these guys are next to ferrari in Wembley http://www.topazdetailing.com im thinking stone chip bumper protection film and then something to protect the paintwork - nanolex possibly? they have a huge choice of stuff they can use, just wondering what I ought to go for

  16. Tooting, London where English is a foreign language! I am pretty sure this guy was from abroad, he DID look left. I always look between buses when they are stacked like that, if a car was coming the other way I would have just hard braked! The Brembos on the Overfinch are like anchors!
  17. it will pretty much drive the same as the italia, same as the 458's. I was very close to getting an aventador roadster last year until I drove it ;-)
  18. Coupe mate, I prefer the glass engine cover etc, Apparently its one of the first 10 cars to hit the UK. Might bring it along to the next Supra meet if you guys are still having them nowadays, was it Bluewater last Tuesday of the month IIRC
  19. the spec I put together for mine was also in the feature car at the geneva motorshow this year (mine has more carbon fibre though _ but is almost identical to this one
  20. dudes i said "ok so I think I will insist he does the finch and fez by jet wash first" so basically I aint gonna do it! Really appreciate the opinions from the pros and the 'users'
  21. ok so I think I will insist he does the finch and fez by jet wash first, he does 10 cars every 2 weeks for me so im sure he wont mind here is the finch, nice and black and shiny with no swirls!
  22. yeah thats what I was thinking, the finch is almost brand new with only 4k miles on it and has zero scratches or swirls so if any appear he is responsible !
