  1. I enjoyed edge of tomorrow more than I thought! As a gamer geek (a few years ago I was anyway) I really liked the idea of the movie once it settles in - the game link gets explained! (I'm a sci fi fan) better than Elysium (which was rubbish). Anybody seen it yet?
  2. Hey Ray - thought I had a puncture on the M56, massive bang. Had to stop and check. All ok (I think)
  3. Great day - nice to meet a few new faces! The wife enjoyed her stint behind the wheel too. Looking forward to the next one already!
  4. I'll put myself down for this. Looking forward to it. Ian I'll try to remember to bring your Cat. 1, Ian Ian 2, Supragal (provided Branners can give her a lift!) 3, Radio Ray 4, Supra_ufo (hopefully in my car) 5, Spunkmeyer 6, 7, 8, 9,
  5. I'm happy it's a supra wing (just not oem) as the shop didn't have to fill any gaps -between the angle of the boot lid- it's a perfect flush fit to the car.
  6. It does hang over but doesn't touch and they sealed all around and underneath before the shut line - spoke to him yesterday and it was the only position it could go with secure fitting - higher up would have crossed the shut lines
  7. Now I've come to terms that it isn't oem today it's not so bad after all
  8. Thanks for the help - I'll post up a wider pic
  9. I'm off to go stand in the shed and swear a lot. I didn't even offer it up ever in 3yrs just assumed yep it's a black wing for the black car that it came with. Prefer it off as soon as I saw it on.
  10. Aftermarket wing? Wtf why?? When there's a perfectly good oem wing anyway?
  11. Yep I thought it shouldn't but any further up the car and it's mounting onto the side panels not the boot? So is it not a supra spoiler?
  12. When I bought my supra the spoiler was off and the panel holes welded up and I was handed the wing as part of the purchase. It's sat in my shed for 3yrs, finally had it fitted by a body shop. I think the fitting is wrong and because the spoiler is too big? It overhangs the panel lines - now I don't think it's a poor fitting as it's just too wide? Looking at web images the spoiler usually sits further up (thus narrower) and comfortably inside the panel line Am I going nuts? There aren't two wing sizes for a supra? Mines a facelift import TT 1996 Advice, comments, re-assurance, sniggering and loud laughter welcome from all Any pics of examples
  13. Hi All - just a quick heads up that im showing my Supra at Gawsworth Hall on Monday 5th May 14. Its mostly pre 1983 and sports cars or special interest. Im getting married there a week tomorrow so I thought it would be nice to spend the day there Monday as the special day will fly by (as its only the ceremony). Come find me if your fancy coming for a mooch, mines the only supra I believe. http://www.gawsworthhall.com/carshow.html
  14. Hi All - probably heading over to Oulton Park in the supra on Monday here's the web content for you: (V8 racing also) BRITISH GT CHAMPIONSHIP OULTON PARK (INTERNATIONAL) SATURDAY 19 - MONDAY 21 APRIL 2014 The 2014 British GT season starts on the undulating Oulton Park circuit this Easter weekend, and the series is set for a vintage year! A capacity grid of 34 stunning supercars will feature Ferrari 458s and a new entry from Bentley as well as machinery from McLaren, Porsche, BMW, Chevrolet, Mercedes, Aston Martin and Ginetta in one of the most prestigious (and expensive!) grids in world motorsport. Taking part for the first time this weekend will be Olympic cycling hero Sir Chris Hoy in a Nissan GTR as he embarks on his second season of motorsport. Two hour-long races on the Monday feature drama-filled pitstops for driver changes, as the crews fight to save valuable seconds in the pitlane! Hopefully might see some Supras
  15. I reckon the seller owns the passat and he's selling this on behalf of the son who just had the sprog
  16. Seconds on Chris Wilson he is near Whitchurch worth a journey I drive an hr each way to hand him my supra. He's had mine a number of times for big jobs little jobs always very pleased and he's a lovely chap.
  17. I'm confused now? the above response sounds more like the overdrive button on the handle that kicks down itself, makes an almighty noise and I usually finish my overtake manoeuvre with the car I just passed flashing their headlights in disgust or just bruised ego. I'll go back and read the link. But as one of the previous posts said already, I've had my auto 3yrs never used manual, but use overdrive all the time Age old question I'm sure
  18. Can you separate prefacelift lights (with the oven method) and use the lenses on separated facelift lights?
  19. Thanks guys - yep it's a shack of a valeter not a professional outfit, if they pay out they'd go bust. There's no way they will offer up any sort of resolution I can tell just from the types they are. I can go back to make a fuss but that's all. White spirits is a good call.
  20. Yep that's possible. It went to my friendly valeter who wasn't so friendly when I came back and went what the hell you done to my headlights. Of course he denied everything and said they were like that before (which they weren't) I couldn't prove that so said you a f***ing idiot and had to leave it at that. Don't go there anymore of course Cheers for your thoughts
  21. Not sure when this happened but one day I just noticed these and was like wtf? Man I'm annoyed these were bought new from Toyota by the last owner about (4-5yrs ago) they are plastic. I've just done a headlight sand/ polish job on them using the Meguires headlight kit and a bit of a harsher sand first. About 45mins on each A general improvement on the basic lens but the scratches are still there. Pointless doing more as it wasn't making any headway. You run your finger across and it's proper smooth. So ok must be on the inside but what makes that happen? I've looked trough the forum and it's mostly about haze and yellowing, not seen these scratches before. Also it looks like the lens has two layers right? And the reflection makes it look like the scratches are in the inside of the outer layer. So I don't think the oven approach will help? Don't fancy pulling them apart anyway. Any experiences of this or ideas? Thought is share.
  22. Looks to me like they've been a bit too keen on the DTM championships. To be honest if it were sat next to an Audi/Merc/Opel DTM car it wouldn't look too bad! Given a bit race prep. However I would through a cover it on the way home on a trailer.
