  1. Nah, seriously I couldn't make it. Shame because there's loads of people going. Unbelievable that I'm passing up the chance to meet far...
  2. I would like to come but I don't know anyone and would be afraid of getting beaten up for asking something stupid.
  3. I don't like the squealing though... gonna like it even less in the summer with the top off. I know... I'll just put some oil on them. That should do the trick. :looney:
  4. Ohhh, hang on though to save you the postage - do I want better braking from these pads and live with the squeal, or do I want the standard ones which will be quieter but I'll crash more often? ( ) In other words... shall I stick with what I've got and just stop whinging about the noise?
  5. I don't know what pads I have other than they squeal and I don't like it. What have I got eyefi?
  6. And let's not forget the ever present 'sundries' charge. I'm never sure what that's all about. Probably the mechanic's sandwiches... Even my friendly, family run local garage charges this, and I'm always too embarassed to ask. I like to at least give the impression that I know about cars, even if they've probably seen through my bluff years ago...
  7. I don't even know what you're talking about. It's just a random number to me. I'm a 32 inch waist if that's any help.
  8. According to JIC all the Euro cars were Aerotops. Surely that can't be right...?
  9. It would be unique, so in theory you could charge what you like! You're knackered either way really. Convertiing an Aerotop to manual is gonna cost £5000+ (I asked JIC once - they said they stopped investigating once the price got to £5000, so it's at least that), and taking the roof off a hard top is gonna balls up the rigidity. Although I think Scooter's plan does look pretty well thought out - good starting point at any rate I'm just wondering about the US manual Aerotop though.... *ponders*... what would you need for that? Assuming the body shell/chassis is the same for both LHD and RHD cars, that means the pedal box could be fairly easily swapped over (as it's the same body/chassis for both markets and was designed to have it on either side). After that, all you need is a RHD dash...? I wonder if simply convering a LHD car would actually be easier. Dunno about cheaper, as you've got to ship the car over here obviously, but the only labour would be moving the pedal box and the dash...? Parts cost would be just the price of a RHD dashboard!
  10. Well... if the price is right... I'd rather see a side-skirts-and-rear-spats group buy first though...
  11. Yes, that's the site! I recognise the picture. I think that's gonna have to be a luxury upgrade for me. I'll keep it on the list though
  12. I remember seeing a website a few months back that had various Supra bits including a blue dashboard light kit. Trouble is, I can't for the life of me remember where it was and it's not in my favourites? Anyone remember who does these? (and if anyone has any experiences of these kits then that would be great too) Cheers peeps
  13. Great. I have all this to look forward to... *Eyes RLTC sitting in box next to me...*
  14. What does it matter? A single tenner's worth of petrol is hardly going to ruin it forever.
  15. Sorry boys, can I just decode the question and reply a bit So is this something inherent in the auto or is this just because of the specific mods this chappy has? Thanks.
  16. Okay, so what did the pre-facelift version have dials-wise? Thanks for the answers
  17. Sorry, it's me again. What's the differences between the early and facelifted versions? (on the J-spec this is). I have searched, honestly I have. Really. All I know is it's something to do with the bumpers and lights and wheels...? I can see the wheel differences but haven't a clue what the other differences are...? Thanks, you nice peeps.
  18. er, sorry, help the newb here... 1) Why can't you just put ordinary unleaded in? 2) Do J spec cars need different fuel to UK cars? 3) How can you get better mpg when the fuel pump is putting the stuff through at the same rate? (not having a go, I just can't get my brainbox around how that theory works!) 4) Is this all about improved performance or to prevent wear and tear on the engine? 5) The boost thing - I take it these are mods? Can you actually adjust the boost or something on standard cars? Thanks folks Oh, almost forgot:
