  1. You would probably be better asking on one of the uk nitrous forums for a more informed answer. This is the site I use most. http://nitrous-advice.org
  2. Hi I've not touched the timming on mine and not had any problems. Not 100% sure but Doesnt the ecu retard the timming if it gets knock? Shouldn't really need to change it unless you plan on running a lot of nitrous.
  3. J27 at about 9 Names 1 Neil 2 notts tt 3 Littler 4 thomo8568
  4. Also a 50shot doesn't mean 50bhp. My 100shot only made 60bhp at last dyno but I was running rich which drops power.
  5. I'm running nitrous on my NA and have bin for about 2 years now with no problems, currently running 100shot single port with controler. I spend a fair amount of time looking through nitrous forums and the main problems with nitrous Is some of the kits are not as good as others and the solinoids give up after a short time. Some kits also hit harder than others with is not really what you want. You should be ok running a 50shot without a controler but it would be better for your gearbox if you did have one. but I wouldn't have it on a button for you to press as you don't want to set it off by mistake when your not at WOT. What make of kit are you looking at? If you want anymore info on my set up just let me know.
  6. I will be coming from j29 m1, can meet you at j29 and start to convoy down and meet others on the way.
  7. Looking at the list don't think there is anyone going from my way, most people seam to be from the west mids. I would be willing to go a bit out my way to meet up with people for a good convoy down.
  8. Yes be good. Could always try and meet with other convoys closer to where its based
  9. I will be comming down from chesterfield.
  10. I want to get a run done without notrous and one with nitrous, I've already got my name down for a dyno run do I need to put it down again for the second run?
  11. Have you got an auto? I was getting a strong smell in my car when my tps was playing up. Was more of a clutch smell tho. And only there when giving it some beans.
  12. Can't answer you much as not had an aero. I have an N/a an the suspension isn't at all hard for a sports car, as for space in the rear I'm 5"11 an can drive with my 5"1 wife sat behind me. I wouldn't want to drive for to long like that as I like my seat far back, but it ok for 40min blast.

  15. I will keep a watch on this be a good day out and can see how my car runs compared to other NAs
  16. As the car was before How the car looks now Think it looks a lot cleaner
  17. I've removed mine but still with the oem airbox and I thought it was better after but hard to tell really. Also thought it would have bin louder without them and didn't really notice any differance. Only way to really tell would be to do a dyno run befor and after, but don't think it would really be worth it.
  18. It's just the cat temp sensor. My cars never had one and Ive had no problems. But you could just fasten it up out the way to be on the safe side.
  19. Just take the full manifold off, ive done this a few times and it by far the best way. Never had any problems with the manifold to head bolts, but the cat to manifold bolts can be a real PITA. Just put some penetrating oil on first and you shouldn't have any problems. Don't worry if some of the studs come out with the nuts it's just one of them things they will just screw back in.
  20. Looks like most the cars with mods have the dip around the same spot. Wonder of one or more of the mods is making the power dip more than a standerd car. Going to have a good look at second butterfly an see if there is any problem. Do the club run rolling road days? Be good to see how my cars graph compares with other NA's on the same dyno on same day with same operator.
  21. It all just depends on calibration tho, have also read that they can trick the end results in to being higher by putting the hand break on a bit on rundown. Can't see me having 248bhp tho that's the thing.
  22. Don't know how much you want to know I'm running a wizzard of nos kit with progressive controler bottle heater and 11lb bottle( just fits behind rear seat) I'm running a 100shot which just made 60bhp extra but is running rich so should make more once I reduce the fuel jet. Cost about £60 per refill which lasts about 6min which don't sound much but if you think you only use it for about 10secs a time iota not to bad. I refill between once a mth to once every 3mth. Just depends on how much I use it really Not had any problems with it, my engine and gearbox are still fine There is a wizzard of nos forum have a look an you will find most the answers for most things If you need to know anything else just ask, will help if I can
  23. And then 232.6 a year or so later. http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh137/neilbmxpert/neildyno.jpg Your second looks a bit more like mine. What if anything did you change between? Or is it just the differance between rolling roads?
