I've been looking for something like this for a long time!
-
The land cruiser I have out in Dubai right now does it to. Think it's to stop you getting hot in the face with hot air on start up, handy in these hot parts

Down but not out!

It's a long story which I won't bore anyone with, just a break down in a long relationship really. I have a bumper now thanks to Westy, still need the crash bar and a bonnet. Benjy how much for the crash bar?
-
Well where to begin, Friday the 13th was an eventful one for me! My ex trashed my supra jumping on the bonnet, ripping the folding mirrors about and ultimately I crashed the car trying to avoid her polo which she tried to crash into the supra. Needless to say the police were involved and it was all caught on CCTV. I want to repair this without involving insurance as I won't be able to afford it after losing my no claims! So there's a few parts I'm going to need 1 stock front bumper any colour 2 stock bonnet if cheap enough 3 front panel? Cheers Paul, I have an N/A and the plan is to overhaul/ fit one of your N/A-T kits at the same time

With the exception of going to Toyota is there anywhere reliable to buy some or all items required for a full overhaul?

I'm up in Peterhead this week doing stuff for Apache so sure I'll be around your neck of the woods at some point, always getting posted up to Aberdeenshire. Your always welcome at one of our meets would defo be the quickest there!

Thought it was about time I started a build thread having had the car 4 months now! Plans for the supra are to use it this year (2014) as much as possible and it will be going on a 700 mile round trip through the Scottish Highlands where im hoping to learn the car properly before the NA-T conversion. When the time comes towards the end of this year I asm hoping to have found a suitable double garage or similar to carry out the restoration work which 90% of will be done by myself and a few friends. Once the engine and gearbox are out the shell will be completely stripped bare and rolled onto its side to give easy access to the underside, at which point the subframes will have been removed. Any parts in good condition eg rear subframe will be blasted and powder coated in yellow along with little things like the various brace bars and anything else I can get my hands on. Engine wise I am looking at the Whifbits NA-T kit, Before doing this I will be overhauling the 18 year old GE lump and sending the head away to Browns engineering to have it acid bathed and valves re-ground etc etc. New bearings and seals all round for the bottom end to! As for the gearbox (auto) I may well swap for a w58 Manual or stick with the auto. Dont know much if anything about automatic transmission if im honest so would probably just renew the torque convertor. DAY 1 The cat approves Headlight Restoration Big difference Rough Diamond! Got a used elec aerial to replace the jammed up one on mine Winter Photoshoot I organised for the car club i jointly run in Edinburgh Veilside Andrews wheels were split and refurbished Dashboard repaint The rubber coating on the ashtray was a b*tch to get off keyed up and ready garden booth! lol finished article, not 100% happy with the finish The worlds most horrible steering wheel! will be going asap Interior ripped out and new front seat belts fitted, going to clean up the plastics and refit the sound deadening finish on the ashtray was nice after removing the rubber stuff decided to redo the shifter surround and remove all the rubber stuff from that to (took ages) but was worth it in the end much better time to concentrate on the rest of the dash now that the 2 highest impact areas have been taken care off sorting out the plastics now hot glueing back the sound deadening someone has fitted fli components previously giving the inside a really good clean child labour clean N/A Central comedy shot RMM front lip arrived brake fluid leak from the banjo or hose Made an appearance at @ Fife 2 Furious Got a refurbed rear strut from TCB Performance Parts to replace the 1 random KYB strut on the N/S for the car some water got into the spark plug wells, and looks like a leaking rocker cover gasket to New steering wheel thanks to Al Massey off with the old on with the new Pic from one of our meets at Little Tokyo aka Rosyth dock yard

I have had a few mixed opinions about whether to bush a supra or not, some say stock are the best all round and others have said that you should avoid poly bushing certain bushes on the car. I am needing to replace my rear anti roll bar bushes now and had planned to do the whole car after the summer, so should I be staying stock? Or if going poly what recommendations are out there for the rear arb? softer than the front id imagine Thanks in advance! Mike
-
Chris can you PM me a price for a rear oem of you have any decent ones lying around?
-
It looks like a lot for a shockie! Bit I can confirm brakes aren't leaking
-
Thing is I just bought this from TCB parts so if it's leaking I'll be pretty annoyed to say the least
