  1. Cheers guys, the wheels so appear to be Andrew's although with non original centre caps. They're a little rough just now but will make good winter wheels.
  2. Ok not exactly a new member on here but I have after much searching found a nice clean N/A SZ. The plan is to learn the car before doing a N/A-T as ill be mostly hitting the highland switchbacks rather than the long straits I think an N/A will be fine for now. I have quite a lot of time to spend on the car and have a budget of around 5k to restore it to its former glory. 1st question though as im looking to set the car up for grip driving what tyre recommendations would you guys suggest? From my FWD experience parada spec 2's are great but I really dont want to get the tyre choice wrong on this car
  3. I'm 24 paying £59 a month for an N/A with Admiral. Found them to be the cheapest so far
  4. That's the car! The owner said someone from England was coming to look at it. Can't believe the asking price having seen it :O
  5. If it's no financial burden to rent a garage do it for sure. Better out of the elements, after all they're no spring chicken these cars and once corrosion sets in well you know how the story goes.. Also if storing for prolonged periods I'd remove the battery as the earthed chassis can stimulate corrosion particularly when sitting for long periods. Mike
  6. It was in Kemnay Aberdeenshire. I'm actually working on the power lines near Kintore so was only a 10 minute drive from site. Glad I had a look at it any supra at that price is worth a shout but this was in my opinion to far gone, and most likely has a bent chassis.
  7. Haha! I got the feeling the guy bought it smashed with intention to restore it. Somewhere along the line he has realised its bent I think as when I mentioned measuring the wheelbase his face dropped and started acting nervously. He did say a guy was making the 5 and a half hour drive from Northumberland to buy it, hope it's not to dark when he gets there :/
  8. Forgot to mention the mileage isn't 75k it's 201,000 KM
  9. I saw this topic and just went to look at it to see what the story was. It is rough very rough, front end is almost warped and alloy bonnet has been painted badly clearly following a crash. Tracking is 90 degrees out and clicks n bangs when near full lock, terrible noises from the rear when going over speed bumps and is mis firing. To top it off drivers sill is rotten and bootlid is also showing early signs of corrosion as is a few other areas like the door shuts etc. he said 1k was his lowest price, I wouldn't buy it but I think it's worth 600 to break for maybe 800 as it's standard with almost every part worn badly, even the wheels are poor. An honest verdict
  10. Thinking of pulling off a conversion myself, really informative thread

    Corrosion

I'm waiting on an offshore pay off from shell so ill see what I can afford I'm so bad at saving lol! I'm probably looking at a car with around 70k, but I do have the facility to underseal it myself which is a bonus

    Corrosion

Hi guys, I'm looking to get my first supra in about 6-8 weeks but wanted to ask the question how badly do they rust? I can't say I've seen many with rusty panels but from owning an EK Civic I know all about underbody corrosion any personal experiences would be helpful. Cheers guys!
  14. Using thermal imaging and air sensors to inspections inside gas cloud's at chemical plants etc ive yet to do an inspection yet im just starting but im a seasoned vet with rc heli's
  15. I have a couple of 1:16 scale airfix jet's but I spent more time flying my rc helicopter's and occasionally repairing after a mishap
  16. its a remote inspection company specialising in wind turbines and flare stack's etc using a octo copter as far as height I only fly in line of sight to conform with CAA regulation's but ive seen people on youtube going as high as 3.5 miles with UAV's
  17. it seems alot of cars but I got them all cheap by going to the auction's and keeping a close eye on Gumtree as I dont mind doing a bit of work providing its a good solid car and my dad has a marine engineering business so there's no shortage of tools I had some crazy fast supra's on GT but I think Supra's have a sort of powerful presence when you see a real one they're so big for a sports car
  18. ive gone through every setting I can find and I cant figure it out [ANGRY][/ANGRY] [sAD][/sAD]
