well i was one of the first on here to blow the headgasket of a 2JZGTE im now one of the first to blow the headgasket of an evo VIII on the lancer forum it must be a bloody talent of mine as some of you know my evo has been of the road for a while. i decided it was time to strip it down and have a look as it had a nasty rattling sound after a hard saturday drive after taking the block out and splitting it open i have found a VERY bent crank, damaged rod, and piston no.3 has started to pick up and seize in the bore, im just glad the block has honed out ok a friend of mine from ralliart who was looking at it said "what the hell have you done to this poor car? i have never seen a headgasket blow on an VIII and the standard bottom end should be good for 500bhp ! " i said "1500 miles" lol no point in crying as some of you know i use my cars hard and dont expect them to last forever, just going to build it stronger and bigger pics coming up for those of you that keep asking me whats going on with it

no i have not asked him yet, i intend to ask him when i collect this batch as its not a 5 min job to make them, he usually has a 3 month backlog and then when he does make them it takes 3-4 weeks for them to dry, he is so busy because he is the only guy in the uk that can do them to this quality
