I would say mine definitely isnt an exhaust knock, it sounds like suspension bushes, thats about all i can fathom for now, i'm swapping the shocks at the weekend, so will check all the bushes then. Will post results on on this thread if i get anywhere! The same mechanic mate has just had the same issues on his 2004 M3, that was rear subframe bushes, so he tells me.

I too get the same annoying "clunk" again when going round bends, or accelerating over bumps, usually on the drivers side as well, a mate who is a mech has suggested it may be bush related? Its a wierd one, but always happens in the same places, and on the same bends!!

Got to agree with Chris, i work for Tunit, the diesel tuning company, we sell to a lot of trade that deal with all kinds of tuning. A lot of the industry is struggling at the moment, and have been for the last couple of years, as like Chris says, people just aren't spending on the "Luxuries" at the moment. We have good and bad months, but i think people are more concerned about keeping their cars running at the minute. I'm sure certain tuners are doing OK, but i've been here for nearly 5 years and a lot of things have changed.

Hmm, i left high school in 95. Do you know Tim Burrows, Chris Rose, there are probably a few others, but i'm never sure which of the several high schools in Leyland they went to!
