I am aware of this, but this seller seems like a genuine mature owner. He is from a small town and a guy I work with knows him and assures me he is simply a car enthusiast and not your stereotypical Subaru Impreza owner chav. I completely appreciate the reputation these cars have because of their owners, but I do genuinely just like the car.

I am going to look at this car tomorrow evening (pictures attached). It is a 2002 WRX with 100,000 miles. The car is pretty much stock. I have never owned a Subaru before so what should I be looking out for tomorrow whilst inspecting this car? What problems are Impreza's specifically prone to, etc.? [OOPS][/OOPS]

I've had Golf's before and cannot fault them. Don't know much about 407's but it seems from a layman's viewpoint that you get more for your money with the 407.

Hi guys, Decided to buy a diesel car for my daily driving needs. I looked at both these cars today and still cannot make up my mind. What do you reckon? Golf..... or 407....? Golf is a little pricier than the 407... Both are 2004's.... diesel.... same mileage (120,000).

Thinking of going away for a weekend in October to somewhere in either England or Scotland. I want somewhere with nice pubs. Not necessarily into the whole night club scene (akin to ''Booze Britain'') so something with convenient transport to and from the local airport would be a plus. Just somewhere with some nice pubs showing the football..... nice carvery..... pints..... friendly locals. I have been to Newcastle several times which I love, especially on a match-day, but would like to try somewhere new this time around. Recommendations/advice/suggestions greatly appreciated.
