  1. On 31st August 2009, 2 good friends of mine - Andy Miller & Jon Shorter are riding 1000 miles from London to Monaco to raise awareness and fundraise for the Brain Injury Rehabilitation & Development charity. http://www.b-i-r-d.org.uk/images/logo-box.jpg http://www.b-i-r-d.org.uk/ Throughout the route, they'll be carrying tents, sleeping bags, clothing, food & bike repair gear. The route is still being determined but will be loosely based around: Calais --> Amiens --> Paris --> Lyon --> Avignon --> Aiz-en-Provence --> Fréjus --> Monaco The mileage will be around 1000 miles, with a daily target of approximately 100 miles. That'll require a daily intake of around 8000 calories and a few rest days en-route. Still, they hope to complete the journey within 2 weeks which will give them another week to try their French on the beaches and Cafés along the French riviera. They'll be flying back from Nice after the 3 weeks, straight into Liverpool (John Lennon) airport. Please take this opportunity to visit their website at: http://www.londonmonaco.org Please show some support by sponsoring them. You can even keep an eye on their blog/satellite tracking & leave them a few words of encouragement in their Guestbook as they're cycling. The event will use GPS tracking to allow you to follow their progress in real-time from their "Watch-Live" page. They'll be updating this page and blog as the departure date gets closer so please do bookmark their site and check back every now and again. If you're near London on 31st August, they would love you to call over and cheer them on!! Andy and Jon thank you for you kindness and support in advance! :smthumbup
  2. Hi i'm looking for a Throttle Position Sensor part # 89452-24020. Anyone have one? Please pm me. Cheers, Karl
  3. Maybe..... might get one as a track project when my funds replenish.
  4. I'm no longer looking for a Supra. I've just bought an Evo V RS.
  5. Will have new photos up soon, i have seen these in person while i was in the us, quality is great, i believe have a lifetime warrantee on cracks, breaks etc.
  6. Brake wise AP make some nice big uns.... likewise StopTech have some nice brakes now. If you want to keep them smaller and lighter try Wilwood.
  7. The manifold I am selling is definately for a TT Supra ie 2JZ-GTE. I was originally sent the wrong pictures (black manifold). I have edited my post to display the manifold being sold**. **Please note as mentioned the manifold I am selling is not ceramic coated. Didnt want it to get damaged during shipping. Sorry for the confusion. I will ask for pictures of actual manifold and update as soon as I have them. Thanks Karl
  8. The manifold I am selling is for a 2JZ-GTE engine. the one in the photo is for a mkiii supra, wrong photo sorry
  9. It's for a single turbo conversion on a 2JZ. It's the same manifold and downpipe used in the SP turbo kits. This one is panted with black high temp paint not the option of ceramic coating. This is a brand new manifold only sold in the US and I'm paying a fair amount of money to have it shipped over here. I think 900 quid for the turbo manifold and downpipe is about right considering the how weak the GBP is against the USD right now.
  10. I have the following items for sale: Sound Performance Turbo exhaust Manifold for 2JZ-GTE complete with 3" down pipe http://www.spracingonline.com/images/products/28.jpg (manifold is not ceramic coated) and Sound Performance Race Intake Manifold -unpolished. This is there big manifold intake hand built in USA , has been on there cars with over 1400whp, not the cheapy ones made in Thailand/China) http://www.sound-performance.com/Intakes-Intake-Manifolds/c41_51/p78/SP-Racing-Intake-Manifold--93-98-Supra/product_info.html I am waiting for these parts to be shipped to me. Please PM me if interested.
  11. Hahaha "Parity" that's the one lol I just have to be patient.
  12. Thank you for a very honest reply it gives me confidence to come down! I'll be giving you a call mate. Please can you PM me you number. Please can you state the kilometer intervals in the Jap history. Thanks, Karl
  13. Indeed my friend. If I can buy a well loved Supe off a member I'll be chuffed.... it's just finding the right car.
  14. I constantly hear good things about Jurgen and JM imports and Jurg and I have exchanged a few emails in the past. The problem is I think the GBP isn't doing so good against the Jen at the moment. Therefore I feel Jurg is forced to sell at relatively high prices todays market / economy. To be honest I thought the black one just sold to a German buyer was a little expensive for what it was.... a nice clean car with basic mods and a top secret bodykit. I'm really not looking to pay for a car with a bodykit as I prefer the stock look. I also feel facelift cars hold far too much of a premium. I'd sooner have a clean prefacelift car and upgrade the lights etc when I feel fit. Has everyone noticed a lot of Supes are going to Europe?.. Sweden... Germany etc.... the damn Euro is to blame, we are nearly at parody with the bloody thing. Karl
  15. I'm thinking about making that train ride mate. When would be a good time to come and view? I'm pretty open with my time right now. Any chance of some pics of the engine bay and more interior shots of the seats etc? A few more questions if that ok: Has the car ever had paint? Any defects on the bodywork? What history/bills do you have with the car? Any jap history? What grade import? What tax and MOT is left? How much is it to TAX her 400 quid? Has it had a major cambelt service? How are the tyres? Thanks, Karl
  16. Yeah so i went to look at it today. Laughable really.... I don't know how he's in business with the quality of stock he carries. For a start he said he'd be there at 1:00.... he turned up at least half an hour late.... very professional not I was waiting with a group of lads who came from Lincoln to look at an Evo 5 and a older lady with a evo VI (complete with chaved out full Veilside widebody kit and playboy stickers....). So I get inside the warehouse crammed with imports (barely enough room to walk around or open the door). Despite the poor lighting I could easily notice the scratches, dents and poor paintwork. The bonnet was missing washer jets (think it must of had a carbon fiber bonnet). The rear hatch had definitely had paint as you could see poor masking, scratches from bad prep job and paint drips. I didn't even need to look at it under natural light it was bad enough under poor florescent lighting. This was just the start of it... the mileage is not 54,000 miles.... I looked through the MOT's and there were reports of lots mileage recordings well in excess of this figure. The guy said it had full jap service history.... bull crap..... it had one service at 40,000km. Overall I was very disappointed with the quality of the car... I didn't even want to test drive it never mind run a HPI. I wasn't the only one either... the guys looking at the evo 5 weren't impressed either.... it had clearly had a new front bumper with a bad paint job and possibly new headlamps cough...front ender.... cough. Looks like I'll definitely be looking at a members car. I need a supra that’s been well loved. The hunt continues.
  17. I'm going to check it out but if I have any doubts I wont buy it. I've not viewed any yet so I have to start somewhere. I would sooner buy from a member. It's finding a car that ticks the boxes though. Agreed dealers prices are more expensive but if it's decent I'll see what I can do price wise.
  18. If it all checks out and I can get this for 7-8K do you think I will have done OK? I'm not expecting to go out there and find the best supra first time round. Usually I buy an example and if I like it I'll buy another one it better nick later on. Well I'm off to view it soon. Wish me luck. If it turns out to be a shocker I might make the trip for the white one down south or the black one in notts.
  19. I've spotted this. It's nice but it's a serious trek for me (along way to go for a motor). White isn't my fav colour either. There is another nice black 6 speed facelift in the classifieds on here too. Miles are higher and it's more expensive.
  20. Yes I'm thinking this. Screams clocked due to the condition of interior. What about carpet? How can I tell if it's been an NA conversion? I'm pretty good at telling if it's had bodywork. What's a reasonable price to pay for this? If this was sold by a private seller how much would I expect to pay. I like the fact it's a black and 6 speed tt. Not so many of these available. I'm not too bothered its a non facelift.... why pay 1000's more for new lights bumper thingy?
  21. I'm a bit dubious about it. http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/cars_popup.jsp?did=108339&pageid=2&originalid=&gid=nogroup&tid=20&start=6&distance=0&adcategory=cars&channel=DEALERPAGE&id=200847323945620 Thoughts please. Looks very shiny... I'm thinking respray perhaps (but why? accident repair?). Is carpet correct colour? Should it be black not grey? Also wear on interior looks more than 59,000 miles..... clocked? I will do a full HPI when I get the VIN. Can you guys spot anything obvious that a beginner like me has missed. I've spoke to the guy on the phone and he's a dealer who has no clue about these cars.. "it's got stage 2, big intercooler and steel turbo's innit" I need help on this one. Quick reply appreciated. Cheers Karl
  22. PM'd mate. Just what I'm looking for.
  23. I want this Neil. Work with me on the price mate and I'll take it. Do you have the stock wheels?
