  1. yeah the two bolts holding the sensor is on the back of it, so as you see on the last picture i just copied the mounts and the sensor is almost dead senter of the pipe, measured it to be 3 mm off.... I`m taking the sensor out later, will post some more pics then..
  2. here you go.. just below the bov....
  3. have checked all hoses twice, no leaks..... check my garage, and you`ll see a picture of the engine bay. It`s the sensor just after the air filter. you can see it just below the "small" BOV..... I`m trying to make a new stainless steel induction pipe and use a aftermarket filter with heat shield. so I need a place to put my maf sensor. and I installed the stock filter and voilâ, everything works perfect!!! so it`s back to the drawing board again..... I`ll try posting some pictures later tonight.....
  4. HI Just finished making a new induction pipe on my J-spec TT, made the braket for the maf sensor and everything looked okay. startet it up and was kinda low on idle and my afr was all over the place....stepped on the trottle and the engine died.... my question is; is the position of the maf critical? center of the pipe or can it be set a little off center?
  5. Is the vvti fuel pump bigger than standard J-spec? also read somwhere inside her that the vvti wastegate are bigger than standard j.spec. ????? if so you don`t need a RR....

  8. as mention can someone point me in the direction of a manual for HKS SLD type 1? It`s going into a 98 vvti Twin tubbie. I have japanese instruction manual you see....no comprende found this tread but I have the odo inside the speedo.(facelift dash) And I will not convert it to mph... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=112141&highlight=speed+limit+defender

  16. just an update; these pictures are connectors, for what I don`t know. just replaced my speedo and just like that my new 320 km speedo is working as it should be and suddenly I`m limited!!! top speed 180km..... my old speedo stopped at 120 and went back to zero and no limitation.... any ideas? could the delimiter be inside the old speedo??????? and yes, I have also fitted a greddy bcc installed and boost 1,1 - 1,2 bar....
  17. As mentioned in a previus thread, someone said the J-spec vvti wastegate was same size as the UK spec car. just did a full decat with 3" downpipe an blitz cat back. now I am boosting 0.8 bar without an RR.haven`t got any boost spikes yet but just wondering if anybody could confirm the wastegate size? It`s a 98 vvti TT BTW.....
  18. anyone? gonna fit my new downpipe tomorrow and removing both cats...... vvti 98 mod TT
  19. Is this true? can someone confirm this?
  20. Hi I`m looking for a new set of springs for shock absorbers, and need a few pointers. What do you guys recommend? It`s for a 98 vvti TT, and also I have the "active stability thingy". Thanks from Norway:)
  21. I`m experience the same after I fitted a Tial BOV on my 98vvti TT... not very often but sometimes I get a some unburnt fuel in the exhaust... a couple a times a month maybe... but how is this affected if you run bpu and 1,2 bar boost? regarding the fuel mixture that you might have problems with on J-spec supas? I`m no expert but hopefully somebody knows?
  22. no fcd, boosted 1,2 ysterday and a few sec later, fuel cut!!! and both boxes have no marking.....
  23. I tested mine, a 98 vvti tt J-spec. had 320 hp, 485 Nm(engine) and about 275 hp on the wheels... and the car was stock exept the speed limiter was removed..... no cat back, nothing.....
