  1. the plan was to get a new one but I`m having some problems getting it fast enough... here`s a picture of it, will let you guys know if it works:)
  2. had to, it was all scratched and out of line, and I`m in a hurry to get the car moved:)
  3. just took my flywheel(stock TT) of and had a machine shop "turn" it.. when I got it back they have machined it down almost 1 mm on the surface where the clutch disk will be. anyone that have had any experience with flywheels that are machined down a bit? is 1 mm too much? it`s a stock flywheel.....
  4. thanks alot, is there any else I should change while doing the belt??
  5. anyone got the partnumbers for cambelt, waterpump, pullys etc on a 98 tt vvti?? going for a full service.... belt, pully, water pump... going for a cambelt change and Toyota dealer over can`t find the partnumbers for import cars....
  6. http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/clutch/index.html
  7. not sure, only thing I know is that the O2 sensor on the second cat is removed on the vvt-i.. her`s a few pictures of the flane on the first cat..... haven`t got any pictures of the rest....
  8. the first decat pipe is different, the exhaust bolt pattern on the flange is different.
  9. just a quick and maybe stupid question: is the clutch and bearings on a vvti TT with v161 box same as for the non vvti? found a act clutch for a supra 96 to 98 and just wondering if it fits?
  10. http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/avc-r/install/index.html http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/avc-r/install/diagram.jpg
  11. brown and yellow I think but not sure, check the guide:search:
  12. just use a multi-meter, and find the wire from the sensor on the manifold. trace it to the ecu, cut and install, tune it and boooooost:) it`s the center wire on the sensor, mine works perfect and I used the guide on mkiv.com, set it to 4,05 volt
  13. http://www.max-boost.co.uk/max-boost/supra/turbo.htm here`s the system, as you can see there`s alot that can interfere with the boost....
  14. checked all the wiring and connectors to the different valves that controls the sequensial system?
  15. it says This 3 core intercooler is a great buy for the Supra. It comes complete with all piping, as well as the necessary overflow and power steering relocation kits to help make the install a breeze. Great for stock twins, or for those looking to go single. Approximate core size is 24" x 10.5" x 4".
  16. I get 1.2 in all gear as long as the wheels doesn`t start spinning:cool: just a simple question and no offence; but is both cats removed?
  17. just a thought; is there any boost before 4000 rpm and if so how much? you should get .7 to .8 from 1800 and up...
  18. that popping noise is the unburnt fuel in the exhaust, this because of the bov, wich cause it to run a bit rich..
  19. done anything to the vacuum system? boost controller or new bov? checked all ic pipes? at what rpm do you see .8 bar? mine is .8 upto 4000 then 1.2 after..... and remember the famous fuel cut at 1 bar......
  20. I use Greddy on my 98 VVTI, works perfect. HKS removes the fuel cut by removing the signal, Greddy just raises the fuel cut...
  21. I`ve fitted one on my vvti, and the only thing I have experienced is slight fuel in the exhaust. but my afr is perfect under load, rich when I step off the trottle but no stalling at all. used it for 6 months now and still works... but where does the air go when you use stock bov? I know that all the compressed air in the system is vented back to the intake but some of it must go back out through the air filter? because of the volume of it?or am I completly wrong?
  22. while running it should be just above 14 volt (14- 14,5) have you checked the 120 a alternator fuse?
  23. first thing i checked, it`s in the correct position. and yes i used a gasket on there. the car runs great on the stock system, it`s when I put in the homemade stuff it starts to f.... up. seems like the sensor is 2-3 mm out of level, so the air that`s flowing towards it will go around it, not through the opening where it`s supposed to:) I need to fix that and then check again. and I can`t separate the stock mounting tube from the air box, they are one pice:(
