  2. Lol, I'll ask him if there were any pies left with him I like the sound of that lol. I'll see if I can get a copy of it today when I go training.
  3. Sorry if I'm being blind but can't seem to find the facelift versions of these. Anyone know where I can get some? Cheers
  4. My girlfriend phoned me up yesterday afternoon in a panic, telling me about this really wierd story from her work. She works in a gym in Leigh which used to be a squash club, upstairs there is a function room and bar etc. To cut a long story short, the owner of the gym is having his house renovated so for a few nights has slept upstairs in the gym. He pushed 2 of the couches together in the small bar and got his duvet etc. On Sunday night (about 3am) he woke up with something on top of him pushing his head down into the couch and pinning his body so he couldn't get up. For about 2 minutes he was fighting with his arms and legs to get whatever it was off him. He thought someone had broken in and was pinning him down while they burgled the upstairs. All of a sudden the pressure disappeared off him and he could get up. To say he was sh**ing himself was an understatement. For the rest of the night he had the lights and tele on till it was morning. On Monday morning when Deb went into work he told them all what happened so they had a look at the CCTV for upstairs. Now I haven't actually seen this video yet but it has really shook Deb up. It supposedly shows a black "shape" move over him and stay there for the 2 mins he is fighting, then it moves off and dissappears Im training there later so I'll try and get a copy of it. I told her that he probably didn't wake up properly and had one of them "moments" where your awake but you can't move, but she swears that there is something in this video. I'll report back later.
  5. Hey mate welcome to the forum. Lots of info here, you've come to the right place
  6. Hey mate welcome to the club. You've come to the right place for good info on the supra. Some very knowlegable people on here. As said before I would say N/A as your 1st. Will it be an everyday car? Only real downside to supra ownership is running costs, make sure you can afford to run one properly, not just buy one.
  7. Cheers mate Tbh I thought it was past repair when I saw it, I've already had it fixed twice. I like the look of it though, as you say not many people tend to have this bumper now.
  8. Hey mate, good luck with the sale. Car sounds like it has been looked after well.
  9. Well, after taking the car up to Jurgen to have a few bits done I got a picture from him showing his bodywork guy has done the bumper and a few other things. Here is how it looked before Some ar****le reversed into my garage door, and with the supe being the same length of my garage the front bumper took the brunt of it. This is the pic I got off Jurgen today Will be all good for the shows come May/June;) Look forward to meeting some of you soon. I've talked the mrs to come to JAE in May:)
  10. Has anyone tried to phone the number? Just to wish her uncles good luck
  11. I have a T88 single. Not really an "everyday" car. Although the power is immense it's probably a bit too much for the road. As said the supra is a GT car, from a rolling start nothing can come near it. To drive around town in one a bpu supra would be a much more fun and responsive car to have. Just remember that a big power supra can be a handfull. Ive had a few "moments" on the road when I've planted my foot, like wheel spinning at 70+mph on the motorway just because its cold outside Plus with you wanting an auto as stated the standard box doesn't cope very well with big power, where as the getrang box can cope in excess of 650 bhp with no mods

    Hello All

Hi mate, welcome Supra's are built very strongly but you want one that has been looked after well. General running costs (petrol, insurance etc) are the main downers of supra ownership. The actual car makes up for it 10 times over though

Hi and welcome What sort of budget have you got to get one?
  15. Have never had any dealings with Bonsai cars, but I'd definately recommend Jurgen @ Jm-Imports. Bought mine from him, really well looked after and spot on service. I had a small problem with the gearbox which he told me about and paid to fix himself. Top bloke who comes highly recommended from ALOT of people.
  16. Due to the nature of his win he didn't prove anything, Right from the start Barrera was at a disadvantage. The Sky commentators were going on like he had knocked the guy clean out. To give Kahn his due, he did look sharp for the 1st part of the fight but has not shown him to be able to take a punch, which is obviously a weakness he has (from his previous fight). Imo Barrera would have caught up later on in the fight, maybe got a shot off and shown Kahns glass chin again.
  17. Mostly TaeKwondo based, but also teach elements of kickboxing aswell. Students are graded through WTF TKD in their curricullum. Also teach the basics of Ju-jitsu but still learning myself on that one.
  18. Well just got back from the Northern Championships in Clitheroe. I was refereeing all day but had 20 of my students competing today. My academy came away with 11 trophies in total, with one student winning his sparring catagory, coming runner up in forms and third place in technical drills. Also kids technical drills I had students first second third and forth . 3 students came runner up in their sparring catagories which I was made up at. All this from around 150 entrants through the different catagories. Makes me feel even more proud seeing them achieve things than when I did. All in all a good day at the office:cool:

Hi Mike, what sort of supra have you got? Pics?
  20. Hi and welcome. What sort of supra are you after? TT, N/A, auto, manual?
  21. I personally would save up and try to get one that has the sort of mods you want. The supra can be an expensive car to modify correctly, save yourself some time and money. If you can afford one Id go for a TT, as said before much more tuning potential.
