  1. Turbo Blew up...... Oh.... Maybe i'll watch what happens with the other car's before i go on.... Another silly question....But.... If someone said to me i was kicking out 350bhp and 210 touque i still would'nt have a clue... Whats the tourque all about - I mean i know its the pull on the car i guess, but how does that compare to the bhp.. As in, would it be more or less than the bhp reading ? I think that may be a little confusing...But i think you'll know what i mean...
  2. Shhhhh........ I new i'd get some grief for this...........
  3. lol.. Erm, this one's a little bit closer to me and i get to show up all the focus's without being shown up by u lot
  4. Power engineering is where i'm off too..... My freinds got a st170 and they are doing a focus rolling road day so i've been dragged along.... "I mean why would you want to dyno a ST170" - surely it would be err...170bhp... ? lol...but he won't listen... Anyone know if power engineering are any good ? Thanks. Craig..
  5. I'm taking mine on the Rollers for the first time on Sat... Me scared.... The thought of someone redlining the car is making me worried.... hehehe... I never go over 6k... Anyone know where abouts the car will redline ? Ta. Craig.
  6. The repair cost is for fixing the cracked sideskirt (About 3" crack) and fixing the rear sun visor (Another 3" crack along where the screw goes in) and then they are sand blasting the wheels (i think) and sorting them out before they spray them. I think thats about it......... Oh, and a free bannana...
  7. Don't have a clue what your talking about Paul lol....
  8. Not really..Seemed to be as normal with a slight hesitation when the revs went up... the road was dry and warm.. I keep thinking clutch but in 2 years and 20k miles ? Is it possible that it may have just been a one off ? as i haven't noticed it at all since and thats with hard reving and acceleration to try and get it to do it.. Thanks Chaps.. Craig,
  9. I was driving down the motorway in 6th gear last night and accelerated at about 3100rpm, the revs went up slowly and then shot up to about 3500rpm and then dropped back to 3200rpm and accelrated as normal again.. I haven't had it since.. Surely can't be the clutch as i only just changed that 2 years ago for an uprated one... Any ideas ? Craig.
  10. Well, my mate had a full respray there in candy red about 5 years ago and the paintwork is still mint... I'm going to have a ask around at the weekend before i book it in.. I really want the car looking mint for Le mans....When i'm racing all the ferrari's.. Cough ....Did i just say that ?
  11. Just been quoted... £302 labour, £97 Paint. £260 Repair costs Vat to be added. Thats for Spraying rear sun visor thingy, Repairing my cracked sideskirt and re-attaching (Only slight damage), and refurbishing my split rims. I thought it was a little pricey seeing as the owner is my girlfreinds uncle and he was doing it cheap....
  12. If its the valve stem seals i think its about £1000 labour to fix it.... Or... You could live with the little blue smoke in the morning....
  13. "You mean Temperature not System, right? " Yep, thats the one...... Doh.. "You aren't by any chance just pulling the dipstick out and reading it are you? You're wiping it clean first, right?" Nope, cleaning it all fully.... Although i think i got confused and typed it wrong... It goes the other way in other words the dipstick level rises.... So when's best to check the oil level then ?
  14. Prob a really daft question, but it sais in the manual to run the car to normal operating system then turn off and check oil... The only problem i'm having is that... If you check it straight away its over the top of the maximum line.. If you leave it 5 mins its about 3/4's level, leave it another 5 mins and its below half way.... Which one should i believe... Or are they all lying to me
  15. I've had to have my arches rolled out, as my 285 30 18's use to rub..... I think it was £25 an arch.. They basically take off your wheel and clamp a special unit to the hub.. Then they heat up the paint around your arch using a heat gun of some sort of description and then roll the unit around the arch pushing the inside lip in.. Had mine done about 4 years ago at prism motorsport in Enfield. Never had a problem since and no damage to bodywork. Craig,
  16. Yep, thats the one..... Thought it was in a silver tube though ?
  17. I use that pastey stuff they sell in halfords in a silver tube.. Just had a look on there website and they only have the Autoglym metal polish - Its not this one But its the other metal polish that they sell that sits next to it on the shelf... Works a treat on my exhaust....And sometimes i even clean inside the exhaust
  18. Well Shenfield if your going to be specific
  19. I'm basically where the A12 joins the M25.... So anywhere near there... Thanks for the reply's.. Craig.
  20. Cool... Thanks chaps.. Someone else said black, but i must just stay with silver and have a blue flick in it.... Some else suggested gold..... Yuk.....
  21. Can someone do me the honours with this photo... I'd like the wheels done in different colours as i can't decide what coulour to get them done in when i have them refurbished... Oh, i also have no idea on colours, so use your imagination...... http://www.handsontraining.co.uk/supra/carside.jpg Thanks..
  22. Anyone know of any good sprayers in the south east... I have a few bits i need doing before i go to le mans.... thanks. Craig, Wheel refurbish and bodywork underway.........
  23. Paul, Move the mat away from under the accelerator...... The peddle goes that little bit further You'll know if your turbo's have gone... As like mine and lots of others... You'll see lots of ...smoke.. I was running 1.3 bar on the standard turbo's when mine went... Just noticed lots of smoke everytime i came to a stop.. I had 2 fins left on 1 turbo and 3 left on the other - and that didn't move! - And to beat it all i didn't notice it at all until the smoke appeared.. So i wouldn't panic yet... Craig,
