  1. Grrrr, they make me mad... Have an ongoing case at the moment in excess of 40k in legal fee's etc because 3/2 years ago they caused damage to my property. Anyway, in this time they've told me that i haven't got any rights to park on my driveway as it's a garden and the permit outside means they can park there.. So i called the council who put a "dogbone" in so no one can park there. So that was that little tiff sorted. Now i'm having a garage/summerhouse built at the rear of the garden, all within the limits of not needing planning permission, eg under 3m etc. I've even spoken to them and have an email back saying that i wouldn't need planning permission.... However,,,, It just so happens that someone has called the council as it has been reported that a large structure is being built without notice and they would like to investigate.... I'm guessing some people just like winding others up.... never mind, i'll be seeing them in court shortly and hopefully getting a nice settlement. rant over :-)
  2. i would say it's real, but most definatly planned. You can hear people clapping in the background and why else would you just so happen to have a vid cam on it at the correct time. And the roads closed at the point of the slide... Just my point :-)
  3. I like the 7, don't like the volvo much mind you.. I mean skyline. :-)

    Las Vegas

yeah - the slots are not like our ones.. in fact they are damn confusing. Best tables to go on are the roulette and card tables, if your not sure how to play then just ask the dealer as they give you full instructions and help you along. I didn't have a clue what i was doing when i first went, but after about 2 hours you really get into the atmosphere of it all. And as said, if your on the tables, all your drinks and cigs are free and they occasioannally give you food. One word of advice though, don't play on the cash games of poker - if you want to play that just enter a $20, $50 tourn otherwise the sharks will take all your money! The first night we got there this year, there was 10 of us playing roullette for 17 hours :-), no clocks and lots of oxygen in the place so you don't feel tired. Had 4 hours sleep and back out again.... You can spend as little or as much as you like. I only took £600 so about $1200, and i had about $100 left on the last day. The excursions we paid for before we left. I split my money up into days and that was my gambling money. If i won, i'd put the wining's in another pocket and cash it in at the end of the day/night, if i lost then i wouldn't spend anymore. Hope that helps :-)

    Las Vegas

I went in march for a stag do i organised... Awsome place. Booked up Via expedia - Direct flights with virgin and staying at the imperial for 5 nights came to £502 - Smack bang in the middle of the strip as well. I arranged a party bus to pick us up at the airport with champagne and give us a tour of the strip - awsome start to the vegas experience - with drop off at hotel. We booked up to go for a meal in the Voodoo lounge in the Rio. Highest place overlooking the strip - so that was a good start, we then went to Pure nightclub - Highly recomended. We booked up out heli ride over the canyon in advance for about £160 each - only 4 hours with a flight down the strip to finish, so no waiting for buses/planes/boats etc - details here: http://www.alllasvegastours.com/body.asp?tour=LAS-H0026&page=TourDetails The other thing we did which was quite good fun, was the shooting range just off the strip, you get to fire a host of guns etc and get to keep a t-shirt that you can riddle with an uzi. If there is a group of you, don't bother with cabs, just hire a stretched hummer - as they are so cheap if there's a crowd of you. All my pics can be found here: http://www.tripkings.co.uk/vegas/ to give you an idea :-) any questions or info that i can help with, let me know :-), i'm back again in september, then the following march for my stag :-) Craig.
  7. I'd like to create a website for my famous pidge office mascot. Basically we have a plastic pigeon that goes all over the place when people go on holiday. But rather than guessing where the photo was taken, i'd like to setup a site that show's where it's been. Any suggestions? Not sure if there's a way i can link it into google maps or something similar? Just last month the bloody thing went to, vegas, hawaii, San Fransico, Maldies, Maritious, qutar and a few other places. lol. Thanks Craig.
  8. The humber... Well...er...Steering rack was fitted last week, now we have to weld on a clip off steering wheel as the thread on the old one was buggered and we don't know what car its from... Hopefully and MOT early next week.. But we will see...
  9. Well the supra had Tein suspension that was rock solid, and the cerbera feels very similar, not quite as hard but there is no play in the car whatsoever. Only dowside is that its lower than the supra, so i've grounded out on pretty much every single bump i've been over... Thanks Paul - I'll whizz it down and take you for a spin, i can do your hair at the same time?
  10. If i sold a car with a private plate and it went overseas, is that plate still mine? or does it go back into the system?
  11. i had a race with one once in the supra ages ago pulling out of a services on the M-way... It beat me up to about 90.... But shhhhhhh.. I didn't tell anyone.
  12. I like that one /\ :-) I've got a personal AA card with homestart, i've also got AA with my bank, and break down through work.. So i should be ok :-) The keyless entry/start is the one that does me, you can open the car from inside the house, drive off, then realise you left the keys inside.... Not done it yet, but been close!
  13. it's the 4.2 AJP engine - which i'm sure will blow at at some point in time. The colour's not that bad, you do get use to it as it changes colour from a pink with silver flick, to a dark purple with a shine. Right, i'm off to get my stilletto's and go for a drive.......
  14. In all fairness, it sounds crap inside. Sounds very tappity and not loud in any way.. From the outside however, it sounds like a spitfire on steroids. I would say it doesn't feel as fast as the supra as you don't get thumped into the seat, with this you put your foot down and its just all grunt, and a hell of a lot more concentration is needed. I went for a 2 hour drive and i felt like i had been for a 20minute jog (20 minutes is a long time for a fat person to run ;-) )
  15. Full TVR service history, 2 owners from new - First owner Aston villa chairman/director (Hence colour) Air con and heated windows/side mirrors :-) 15,500 miles - covering only 2000 since 2000 - been in a barn for 7 years with the exception of going to the MOT station and TVR for a service. No traction control, No ABS - so perfect for the winter season. Took it out on Sat and if you rev it over 2k in first or second from a standing start, the wheels spin up (Thats on a brand new set of SO2's) - Scary as hell to drive. If i'm still here on Monday i'll let you know ;-)
  16. http://www.tripkings.co.uk/tvr hasn't broken down yet - And yes - before you say it, i know the number plate is an anagram for PINK. However, be assured the colour is actually Raspberry. Not sure how long i'll keep this one for..
  17. Thanks for the advice chaps/chapesses..
  18. cool - This was one of the examples i thought of. http://www.businessesforsale.com/uk/-For-Sale-664.aspx Other than that - i've had a very unique idea for a bar for the last 4 years, that i'm pretty sure would make quite a bit of money if done correctly and in the correct area. Only downside to it, is i've never worked in a bar, never run a bar, or a business. i'm bored of doing my current job and want a change :-(
  19. i think they should cut all there wages by 75% and tell them they will get paid more when they start to play football. And they should also get fined everytime they cry on the pitch.
  20. Looking at spending some cash and buying a business.. I don't know what in, or what i should be looking for to tell you the truth, but is it possible to run a business without any prior knowledge? For instance, i've found a Beuty saloon (Wait for the comments :-)) that is both local and seems relativly cheap. Just wondering if i could buy it and let it pretty much run itself to make a profit? any help/suggestions much appreiciated.
  21. yeah - they have come down in price since i bought mine :-( bugger it.. I'm keeping it. Will try to get it airbourne on sat. The PC controller i've got and software i'm a whizz at.. I mean i can do the back flips and the upside down flying etc... But flying it for real is a different story ;-)
  22. Thanks Thorin..I beleive it's the system state. We've got a problem with our dns at the moment as we are getting duplicate ip's associated with hostnames which is causeing us a nightmare. Scavenging is enabled but doesn't seem to be working. But we've just encountered a problem over the last few days with PC's dropping off the network, no idea how to resolve that but here's the message within event viewer: The session setup from computer 'computer' failed because the security database does not contain a trust account 'computer$' referenced by the specified computer. USER ACTION If this is the first occurrence of this event for the specified computer and account, this may be a transient issue that doesn't require any action at this time. Otherwise, the following steps may be taken to resolve this problem: If 'computer$' is a legitimate machine account for the computer computer', then 'computer' should be rejoined to the domain. If 'computer$' is a legitimate interdomain trust account, then the trust should be recreated. Otherwise, assuming that 'computer$' is not a legitimate account, the following action should be taken on 'computer': If 'computer' is a Domain Controller, then the trust associated with 'computer$' should be deleted. If 'computer' is not a Domain Controller, it should be disjoined from the domain. For more information, see Help and Support Center at
  23. Anyone kow how i can backup my DNS? I've got 2 windows 2003 domain controllers running active directory. I've had a quick look and a few people say you have to back up the entire system state? or use NTBACKUP from the command prompt. Any other suggestions? Thanks Craig.
  24. Bugger - shame your not nearer to me. you could show me how to fly it :-)
