When I start my engine up, i hear a bubling gurgle come from somewhere behind the glove box...i got a j-spec TT. I had a very similar thing when i used to run a starlet GT turbo. Is this just airlock in the cooling system...if so anything to worry about?

Hi all, can anyone recommend anywhere near croydon/crawley for spraying my font bumper and possibly fitting it, as depending on the price...i cant really be bothered! Also, can anyone tell me a suggested price for this work?

Ok, the garage have drop the clutch and told me there was excessive damage to the flywheel. Apparently this is a toyota only part, and costs approx £400 Total cost to do the lot £980 clutch, and flywheel. Is tis about right or am i having my eyes ripped out?

Hi guys, What does the red triangle exclaimiation mark warning light in the rev gauge indicate....i've never once seen mine light up...even on ignition on.....is that a problem or does it just not light up on mauala.s......just on the auto???

ok thanks. Just one last question - if te clutch was slipping, when i floor it - ad the revs hit 3k ish - wouldnt the revs shoot up but the power not increase....instead of the revs dropping and the power increasing normally??? Just been on a long commute - and been toying with the ideas in my head!

Im not expecting to go single or upgrade for a little while, so something pretty standard should be fine...and where to get it from. Also if anyone can recommend a decent japanese specialist garage or servicing place around south london/surrey that would be bang on.

Hi guys Recently my TT has been acting a bit weird. Its a J-spec L reg 6 speed twin turbo. I have noticed that when accelerating in 3rd gear, the first turbo seems to spool up really quick, but no power seems to come in then all of a sudden it does (bit like a kick down) where you get the revs but nothing happens then suddenly does. the second turbo comes in ok...although sometimes before 4k rpm, sometimes well after??? I get the resonating sound from the first turbo and have since putting a apexi induction kit on....but it has only just starting acting like this. SOmething else ive noticed, is whne you floor it in 4th, 5th or 6th, the revs go up to about 3k rpm, and drop, even though your foot is flat down, then creep up, and then drop??? but speed continues? Boost is as its should be around 0.7 then 0.9 on full tt boost. No mods apart from air filter. Could my clutch be slipping? Could my first turbo be going??? Any helps great!

can that be connected to a pc too?

Hi guys I run a car pc and wanted to connect up the serial port to read all the obdII information from the ECU. Can anyone tell me where to find the connection for the cable, and also where the best cheapest place to get the cable from is. Thanks in advance. Ian

Funnily enough mine has done this twice. First time was when I got it...didnt realise it needed super unleaded, and was running it on unleaded for about a tank...and it started....as soon as i put super in it....worked perfectly. Has done since until last week...just before i went away on holiday the orange low oil light popped up....and next time i started the car it was running like shite. I started it up today after holiday, and it wasnt quite as bad.....didnt stall, but still very irratic idling, so i filled it up with some expensive oil....and now its running nicer than it ever has If its due an oil change, that might fix your problem - possibly worth splashing out on a good oil? Mine is a TT 6 speed J-spec btw Hope that this helps

I have a very minor oil leak from my rocker cover (apparently - as written on an old things to do invoice) So the orange oil low light has just started to come on. Whats the best oil to fill her up with? type and ratings please

After changing a tyre on my car, and running for a month...Ive had to reinflate it 4 times. Im taking it back to the garage later today, but the car is now making a horrible low rumble sound which isnt obvious outside the car so unlikely the exhaust, but im thinking more likely the wheel bearing, from running on a tyre thats not properly inflated. Could this cause the wheel bearing to go? How hard is it to get to the rear wheel bearings?

Went to change my front brakes today, as the old ones were squeeling, and sounded like they were on (especially the right side) when driving slowly. the pads were pretty much new already, but the problem was that the lower caliper slider wont budge, so the pistons arent able to work evenly. Ive tried bashing it out with a hammer, Ive tried wd40, Ive even tried turning it to loosen it and budge, but it wont. DOes this happen frequently? anone suggest how to get it moving again?

it does exactly the same on both sides....i dont have to do anything inside the momo centre part do I??? I dont remember having to do anything in there before?

I know it might seem mad...but my front wheels seem to be bonded on. Ive undone the 5 bolts/nuts on them, and no matter how hard i tug at the wheel....it doesnt seem to budge. Any suggestions to getting them off easily?

is this an expensive job, only mine goes when i start up in the morning? bit puff of white/grey/blue smoke dont see it after that

as a development to this, it seems to be from just behind the top glove box ... which is the back right of the engine bay. It seems to go after more braking is done...could it be something to do with air in the brake system or possibly something to do with the heater matrix? all the cool air and hot air is fine. Sorry im not technical just suggestions

dunno....it might be like one of those placebo things, but my 6 sp, seems a lot less clunky with it off, and a lot more smoother drive....unless its wet i dont really see the difference, in the wet, all it does is causes problems anyway....its more of a problem than a safety feature.

Hi all, Just wondering if you can set the car to start with the traction control off automatically, mine drives much better without it.

i'd say id meet you half way, but then it would be warm and wouldnt show you the noise....no one else got any ideas?
