Cheers mate I will try the magnet tip when I get home. If it is ally and I use paint stipper, should a little metal polish be enough to at least make it look fairly reasonable? I think it just needs wiring up now. They are meant to be serviced every two years, so I am going to pay the £45 to get that done as I don't want to skimp on a safety product.

Picked up a Lifeline 2000 AFFF electrically triggered fire extinguisher for £28 the other day! Before I fit it, I was going to take the red paint off and get it resprayed as I am basically a sad tart for colours, etc I think they might be alloy underneath? so was thinking about soaking it in a paint remover? to leave it as bare metal or maybe paint over existing colour (I can source a new decal set for it). Any help appreciated, cheers.

Good to meet you to Hodge - your car is stunning mate, the quality of the work you have put into that car of yours is A1, it deserved a trophy for sure. Even though I won best Toyota, which was obviously deserved the judging was a bit hit and miss. The car of the show ended up being won by the white Skyline in Gaz's last photo! Sorry not sure why.... Look forward to seeing you fellas at future shows.

I reckon the frame has got to be about 8 years old and the forks about 5 or 6 at least. These were all refurb'd and are mint. The rest of the parts are under a year old. If someone is genuinely interested, then give me a shout. I only added it to this forum because it is free, I would say I am better to split the bike and sell the parts on ebay to return a fair price. If someone is going to offer me £200 or something stupid I would much rather keep it.
