  2. i know this is a real long shot but ive finally narrowed down the reason my car doesnt start. its the hks wiring loom from a pro gold does anybody have any idea what colour the wire that receives the signal from the crank sensor this will stop me from testing every single wire,which is a horrific job that i have to do [unless anyone can save me lol] heres hoping thanks
  3. lol yes it was connected .been talking to a very helpful mat at afr and hes gonna get it checked for me
  4. had an earlier thread on here but after unplugging hks f-con pro gold car started instantly. has anyone any experiance with these and any ideas as to what i should do now,ie is it worth getting the hks checked,if so where,. or isit of a case of once they break there only fit for bin please any views
  5. holy crap i just unplugged the hks ecu and it started instantly
  6. yep turns over fine getting fuel but no power to coil packs
  7. thanks for help people ive had resistance on crank sensor tested but i dont know where cam sensor is
  8. is that the box that sits on passenger side wing
  9. its a tt converted to big single,ive been over it and everything looks plugged in,also coil packs were all working fine on other engine
  10. hi i just had engine fitted and car turns over fine getting fuel but no spark its not alarm or crank sensor any idea anyone ta
  11. please note people i was talking about light blue,,,,dont want to be responsible for someone putting the dark blue in there car cos they only about 600 cc

  13. just fitted theese back into engine an just wondered what size cc they are.ta
  14. just bought the engine from mr chaos its very nice spec with very low miles. but will most definately pay to have it completely stripped down an checked before it goes into car.
  15. i will have the engine stripped to see exactly whats happened cos its not seized so might be some sellable salvage
  16. Is there anything in particular that would destroy bottom end cos I hadn't been booting it and oil and water pressures were fine
  17. when bottom end exited i was doing about 30mph and i hadnt been on a run just poodling round town ,

  19. after owning several supra all mk4 an various models i have always thought of the sup as the best car ever made with outstanding reliability,,,however i bought a crashed single turbo an i think its jinxed . after having all crash damadge repaired dvla messed me about for 3-4 months before i could drive it,so into the paint shop she goes.6 weeks later a beautiful hok electric blue beast emerges.then a new engine with all the goodies transfered from my knackered engine. so 3 weeks later and i finally have my dream car legal and looking stunning[in my eyes] . and finally the jinxed part within 5 days engine making very strange sounds an seriously down on power. turns out the person who fitted engine didnt map to engine cos it wasnt asked[might remember i had thread on here at time an agreed no names as bottom line was my fault] so onto next engine..very carfull and taken time to set up and remapped,hooray i can put my foot down a little,,,,but only for a couple of miles cos now ive melted the paint on my bonnet. again my fault but a bit of a bastard anyway[hindsight is a wonderful thing specially as the heat sheild was only £25 quid. so thought bollox iv wrecked it so il drive it till winter then get it sorted. next it started to pressure up in the cooling system to a point where the radiator cap spring allowed it to vent,so changed cap and thermostat to no avail,a very helpful chris from carnnoseur of southend suggested a major airlock in engine,wich although took a couple of hours to sort didnt actually cost me anything. so all problems solved i was enjoying driving around for two weeks when the bottom end decided to exit the engine in a spectacular fashion with a big cloud of burning oil on the manifold and a really nast sound of engine bits breaking up... sorry to rant on for so long but although a lot of this was avoidable im starting to believe in some cars are unlucky.. so 20k spent an still need another spray job and another engine ,

  21. hi i dont know if its connected or coincedence but my car was running good as gold until i had the plenhum and rocker removed to be sprayed, now when cold it starts perfect then after about 10-15 minutes it starts missing and gets worse until it virtually stalls,then will not start again for approx half hour. also it is getting very hot, also there is unburnt fuel smoking from the exhaust as it misses. any help would be really appreciated, my thought and hope is the heating coolant sensor(only £40)
