  1. Jay has messaged me tonight and said prices should be the same again this year, although this has been set in stone yet This was the prices last year Car and Driver is £10 on Club Stand, Passengers are £12 or £15 on the day, under 12's go free
  2. It was a really nice day last year, they gave us a discount in the Café too I would guess there where 150/200 cars there and everything you could think of car wise as well Obviously they have excellent taste though, as I won Best in Show
  3. This was a new show last year to raise money for the The Donkey Sanctuary Link to Facebook page for the show https://www.facebook.com/events/545421458948440/ I went very last minute last year and it was a really nice day So this year we should have a club stand Prices now been announced This year, it will be £5 per car for exhibitors (payable on entrance), with no additional charge for passengers As well as the Car Show you can go and have a wonder around the Sanctuary http://www.thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk/visit-us/sidmouth 1. Bandwagon

How are you getting on with these Si
  8. I know Scott, that's the reason I would prefer to put in the Getrag, as it will add value to the car
  9. I have been put in touch with a garage that builds rally and performance track cars and has already done a 2jzgte to BMW gearbox Going to have a chat with them tomorrow
  10. Yeah I am considering it, but it is massive over kill for me and I certain won't be able to live with a 3800 stall torque convertor anyway
  11. I am considering going down the BMW gearbox route, but the V160 would keep value in the car and be an easy conversion, the BMW is still an unknown really and know traders seem to want to do it I don't have the time or a place to do it myself, so need a reliable trader
  12. I have an N/A Torsen Diff, so would just want a TT one for ratio's, not worried about it being a Big Case Diff, I am not going to be chasing power
  13. I guess if you know him it is les of a risk for you. I would of had to take a day of work, rent a van etc, so had to factor that in. Can you Pm me the price so I have an idea for reference
  14. Well if that is the going rate, then I guess I will be going else where By the time it's got a diff, fitted you are looking at £4.5 plus which is mad for a 20 year old gearbox
  15. He said he couldn't prove the mileage to me When did you buy it Rob
  16. There is one on EBay, but he wants £3800 which is over priced anyway, also he can't prove the mileage, it's not in a car, so can't be tested I've made him an offer, which he sent a sarcastic message back for, so guessing that isn't worth the risk anyway if he can't reply in a normal " no that's not enough" style
  17. Okay, I am on the look out for a 6-speed Getrag V160 or V161 Preferably with conversion parts included Anyone out there hording one and considering selling let me know Need to mileage and history as well please, ideally needs to testable too
  18. I can't believe the first batch is still not sold We would love to go and still might, but I am holding off for a V160 from SRD and we are having to repair our roof Once we know how much that has cost we will work out if we can afford Dragonball this year
  19. We have actually both booked the time off, but it is looking like we will have to miss this year Very gutted
  20. Strange you should post that, I order a new one yesterday, maybe I got the last one, but it is on it's way from the Belgium storage, £130 odd plus VAT:faint:
  21. Thanks everyone, yeap sorry should read as a 2014 bike (edited 1st post) It's this one I have been looking at, but it comes with a dropper already fitted as well https://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb/bikes/model/2014.giant.trance.x.29er.1/15003/66618/ tsia the Canyon does look good, and I like the idea of the lower top bar, gives you the chance to squat that bit lower to get that lower centre of gravity
  22. In all honesty, I doubt I will ride it in the worst of the winter I am just planning on odd rides as a blow out and for a bit more fitness So would I expect to have to replace the bearings on a yearly basis if I do say 500 miles of cross country a year on it, summer is very dusty and some sandy type stuff, most of the mud around my area is clay
  23. As the title suggests, I am getting another mountain bike after about 10 years away from it I will be mainly doing light cross country stuff, so plan to get a 29er full sus for a bit of easier pace and a bit more comfort than a hardtail on my old back My big local cycle place always sells a lot of cosmetic light paint damaged stuff, so still brand new etc They do a lot of Giant stuff and they have offered me a 2014 Giant Trance 29er 1 for £1400, it has good spec from what I can see for this sort of money, normal retail is £2k and it is discounted due to a few chips on the swing arm, which it would get from use fairly quickly any way Just wondering if anyone has one of these already or can advise on any other equivalent or better options for under £1500 Please say why something else would be a better option or why not to go for the Giant Trance Cheers Rog
  24. Yeah I might have to, but it is going to be getting some colour, so would rather not use a brand new one
