  1. i had some similar problems to this in the past, but normally it was my speedo that stopped reading. it turned out to be a loose / bad connection behind the dash - was quite easy to spot as it was pretty much disconnected from the socket. if its your rev counter only maybe it could be a loose connection on the RPM sensor rather than the dash dsiplay (would probably be easier to check as well)
  2. after some 'spirtited' driveing (and 70k miles) my clutch is no more. i pulled away quite hard the other day and it just slipped for a second before biting, now in 4th, 5th & 6th when i put my foot slightly down i get very little drive or acceleration. now, i have read just about every clutch thread in the forum search (i realy have) i think i have decided on one of the RPS max spring6puk clutches. (i have a BPU 98 VVTI TT 6 speed manual with around 420 BHP) anyway whilst im doing this, is there anything else i should do, im thinking maybe- check/change flywheel bolts or Lighter flywheel all together(RPS / TRD / TOMS) Change clutch release bearing Replace gearbox oil seals - as one of mine is leaking is there anything else i should do???

  8. ensign, sky, and oddly admiral have been good for me, mainly sky though. had a supe at 21 with no no claims but was a little over £2k and others import / modded cars from 19 takes alot of pateints to go through all them insurance companies to find one that insures you on an import when your under 21!

  12. excellent - let me know tomorrow if you have the box, however i will have the AEM anyway please - been after one of these for ages now:d
  13. hi mate, has you got all the bits so that i can change the face colour to white (if it didnt come white anyway) also do you have all the wires / sensors that come with the unit new ? im not to worried about the box providing you have all the info / instructions and bits etc. if you do have the above can i have this please?
  14. 28.6 MPH is the amount of speed that he would have 'lost' or slowed whils skidding and not nessaceraly the speed he was doing when the brakes were applied. if he was travelling at 28.6 MPH after those skid marks the car would have come to a stop. in this case it was still going fast enough to write off your supe (probably) so if that amount of damage was consistant with an impact of 20 MPH (just a gues) add the 28.6 speed lost from the calculator he was doing close to 50 MPH in a 30 which could be argued as reclas driving if you ask me. dont fancy your chances though, sorry. glad know one was hurt though.
  15. as title says realy about 13:00, london bound on the A13. sunday just gone. you waved.
  16. i used to take my fto there. i found him very good at what he new about (ftos) and general mechanics. he done alot of work for me one time. about 2 weeks later i had a problem resulting in the crank angle sensor being pulled from the block and dumping the oil at around 75 ish. i phoned mark and he came straight out to me that evening, he spent 4 hours on my car and fixed it (nothing major). he wouldnt take anything for his time. also i live around 120 miles from him so i though this was excellent service and aftercare however i would be nervous of his rebuilds especially when uprating major internalls. he seems very good and nowledgable, but does have past issues with rebuilds going bang. he does have a gto doing a ridiculus amout of BHP (well over 1000 i think)which was at 10 of the best last year so he must be quite good.
  17. well i sold my fto to buy my supe (mivec uk ralliart modal 2001), and really only brought it in the first place because i couldnt insure a supra at 18:) i thought it was an excellent car, nice interia quick for what it was and sounded awsome although i had moded it a bit. i like the look of the facelift. mine was one of the last made though so some of the problems had been ironed out. the gearbox (manual) was just awfull - i could never get it in first without stopping for a second or two. some pictures of a nice fto (to compare) http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?username=warrenpayne As for supra or fto - thats just silly, supras are just so much better in every way:d:d:d
  18. RSP - Royal sapphire pearl i like the body kit on your car btw - especially the trial rear, i was thinking of getting that myself.
  19. cheers, either of you ever go to that meet at the cock in?
  20. i have found this also, just when you realy need to see where your going they give up! PIAA wipers are very good IMO (bit more expensive though) http://www.funkystyling.co.uk/item_detail.php?prodID=449001898
  21. it was me, ive not been looking in this section though so didnt see your previous posts !! had you just polished yours edd_t it is gleaming?
  22. im thinking of getting a trial rear, now ive read just about all the posts concerning the trial rear bumper on here and have a couple of questions. Does the rear crash bar have to be removed to fit the bumper and if so am i right in thinking this leaves the fuel tank unprotected from rear impact?? secondly has anyone ever had the diffuser part made in carbon / or covered in some way in carbon fibre sheet as i think this would look excellent.?? are there any traders on here who are good with cf ? thanks in advance for any help & advice
  23. do you have any of these brackets left psymon?? i would like a set if you do please
