  1. elephant have always been the cheapest for me, I tryied sky but they cudnt beet elephant for either of my cars
  2. Thats what I thought when I booked it, they should give you a price and do a job properly, whether its cheap or not, I didnt know how much it costs to have a bumper sprayed as I have never had to have it done before and they were the only people I got in touch with. I had no reson not to trust them
  3. I know it wasnt much to pay but Vine Place are a recognised name not a bodge it and scarper ltd merchant around the corner down the dark alley. He said they always do a good job and that the guys are very reliable so I didnt question the price. I never even rang anywhere else to compare as I was happy with them to do the work (they were the first I approched) and just a 2 miles away.
  4. Thanks mat but im not in a hurry to get it resolved just yet as christmas is sucking my bank balance dry, Ive also just payed out £800 to insure my other car so no spare cash till nxt month probably but thanks anyway
  5. Yes I did miss that unfortunatly
  6. Do envy performance do body work?
  7. the worst part was the overspray, Im no expert on removing body parts but I took the bumper off no bother on my first attempt with no assistance (its not difficult) I just cant beleive they done all the work with the bumper on the car, they are utter idiots
  8. I thought I would let you guys know of my experience with Vine Place in Newcastle (Was based in Durham). I bought my car from them in july, great guys and I got a great car, even got a full service when I bought it and 12 months warrenty, including turbo warrenty however I had a little accident in the wet, spun the car and damaged my front bumper so me and my mate reinforced the broken parts of the bumper and fiberglassed it (alot) for strength. We then attempted to spray it, bad idea. So I took it to Vine Place as I bought the car there and he told me that he does body work so I thought it would be a safe bet. They had a look at my car said a couple of bits need filling on the bumper and it then needs to be sprayed, it will cost £100 + vat. So I booked it in. It took 3 days got my car back, looked fine at first glance (it was raining so I didnt inspect it then) but when I inspected it back at home it was a whole different story. They had rubbed the bumper down and prepared it on the car which resulted in the paint being rubbed off the edges of my front wings, bits of filler stuck to my headlights which I still havnt got off [ANGRY][/ANGRY] they never took the bumper off at all even the front indicators as there is rough filler on the bumper around the indicators and all around he top of the bumper where it meets the wing ( I know cos I took the bumper off today) and then they just sprayed it, I mean . On top of that there was over spary all over the radiator, front indicators all over my lovely engine bay which took a whole god damn day to rid of. And to top that off there was lots and I mean lots of nice silver overspray all over my brand spankin new 18" alloys and just as new Goodyear Eagle F1's ( that took 2 days of painfull hard graft to take that lot off without damaging my new wheels) to say im not impressed by Vine Place's body shop is an understatement, its the worst work Ive ever seen and im not to happy but sh*t happens. Sorry for the long post and I toyed with the idea of taking it back but I thought it would do more harm than good so I decided to let everyone know how bad they are instead DONT GO THERE FOR BODY WORK!!!!!!
  9. I own a GZ and as far as I was aware they only come in auto
  10. I have the original toyota ones on my soop but yours look a bit different, I would agree with the above and say the were replicas of the originals
  11. I would recomend elephant. Im 22 with no years no-claims and own a 1993 twin turbo GZ and its only, well i say only, its still a kick in the nuts but its £1580ish which isnt to bad for that car and the fact ive got no no-claims. funny thing was is that I tried a quote for a NA supra and it didnt change a penny it was exactly the same which I found odd.
  12. Thats cheap, I wish it was like that over here. Supras are expensive to run and to have fuel that cheap must be a god sent. Our government sucks. So where in the uk will you be coming during your dates. I have never been to a meet yet and Im looking forward to going to one and speaking to like minded Supra enthusiats, and maybe a beer or three:d I live in Newcastle so if there are other people in the north east also interested please come forward and share dates, times and locations etc and get a meet going (thats if you all want to of course)
  13. guys I'll give it ago the next time I get a bit of free time and I might eventually get rid of the yellow stuff
  14. Thanks haven`t tried that one yet will give it ago , does it pull off easily ?
  15. lol, I already tried that on the side facing me when you sit in the car and yes it hides it but I cant get the god dam pen on the site you can see from the outside (which is the worst side) its just one of those anoying things that people dont notice but you know its there
  16. Does anyone else suffer from the material on the dash where the long thin heater vent for the windscreen is shrinking and leaving the horrible nasty yellow form exposed? Coz its a little bit ugly to say the least. Does anyone know a cure?
  17. Do you live abroad supra steveo or were you just saying the price of petrol in the UK is a mick take (Which it is )
  18. Yeah we would also be interested in a meet, what date and time's good for everyone?
  19. Hi there, I've had these wheels lying about for a couple of months so I thought I would see if there was any interest for them. All 4 alloys are in good condition. They have Toyo Proxes T1-R's on the front (225/50/16) with about 7mm of tread left on both and Bridgestone Potenza G3's on the rears (245/50/16) one has 6mm of tread the other has 4mm. Anyone interested, I'm open to offers.
  20. Thanks for the link. I know it will only hit fuel cut if I create over 1 bar of boost and from searching threads if you remove both cats the turbos can run upto 1.5 bar uncontrollably so you fit a restrictor ring to help keep it at about 1.2 bar. however If I keep the first cat as a restrictor to stop overboosting incontrollably what boost will my tubbies create, will it come close to or more than 1 bar? thanks for the help.
  21. Yeah nankang Tyres suck, I have them on my MG ZS (120 bhp cough) but they are still really bad in the wet you cant even pull out from a roundabout without 5minutes of wheel spin lol, kingstars are just as bad.
  22. Hi there guys, Im going to buy a Miami GT exhaust and second decat pipe in the near future and need to know if my car (a twin turbo auto) will then create enough boost to cause fuel cut.
