  1. Great looking car, used to see it round these parts in Edinburgh. Good luck with the sale.
  2. Yup. I'm supposed to be going snowboarding at Cairngorm in the highlands this weekend. Heard it's closed today as they got 26inches of snow. Should be awesome by Saturday though.
  3. Very generous of you , but even Gamestation are doing second hand Wii (just with the remote and a nunchuck, I think, not even Wii Sports, let alone additional controllers) for £99.99. Not too sure what it's like these days, but I first did it a long time ago and used the Zelda: Twilight Princess hack. Search for Homebrew Channel installation guides and you should probably find something; I'm sure it doesn't need Zelda any more to do it anymore...
  4. There are loads of other great places like this shown on http://www.artificialowl.net/ including the tank graveyards in Afghanistan, etc. Definitely worth a look if you like this sort of stuff.
  5. £80 is a bit low, but thanks for getting the ball rolling The soft-modding doesn't affect the warranty, as it can be removed with an update, but I do see your point that if something goes wrong with the HW that stops you updating the firmware you could be sending a Wii to Nintendo with the homebrew channel installed... Anyway, I haven't tried eBay yet because of their ridiculous 10% final value fees these days (i'm certain it used to be lower than that!). Also not sure about mentioning the soft-modding on there, as they probably have policies about these sort of things... But, it may end up having to go on eBay at this rate.
  6. Pretty sure TrickyRicky has/had the full kit... fitted himself if I remember rightly.
  7. Bombjack, nice call. Which version is that though; I don't remember it looking that good on my old spectrum! My brother still uses Bombjack to tell me I have bad taste in games though... I also echo the sentiments of "PS2 does not equal old games"! Whippersnappers, etc...
  8. Bump. Bored this weekend? Buy my Wii so you wont be next weekend!
  9. As the title says, I have a Nintendo Wii for sale, which has been soft-modded so it can run homebrew, backups, etc. Setup to use Neogamma, so it can load games from discs, or an appropriately formatted SD card/USB drive, etc. Hardware wise, I have the Nintendo Wii (Wii Sports pack - not resort), which includes all cables, the Wii Remote, and nunchuck. It also has Wii Play (which includes another Wii Remote). Finally, I have bought another remote, two more nunchucks, and a Classic Controller. So, in total that's 3 remotes, 3 nunchucks and the classic controller. Everything is boxed and in full working condition. I'll even chuck in a few batteries to get started. Hoping for around the £140 mark, plus I figure £10 for postage and packaging unless someone's collecting it.
  10. Saints here too. I'm surrounded by snacks and beer, got the day off work tomorrow too. The Who at half time should be good too.
  11. Saw a white Supra opposite the Cairngorm Hotel in Aviemore last night. Looked mint and standard, but I was pretty drunk...
  12. Saw a nice Supra last night about 23:15ish as I was coming into Edinburgh from Glasgow. I gave you a thumbs up then remembered that I was in my girlfriends crappy pug 106, and that I don't even own a Supra anymore. Think the license ended LPY (possibly).
  13. If you're talking about a solid round trip of 900 miles, I only ever did one long jaunt in my Supra, which was an NA Auto. I drove from Edinburgh to Norwich, which is pretty much bang on 400 miles each way. I filled up in Edinburgh before leaving, and filled up in Norwich before heading back and neither way did the warning light come on. Not sure how the manuals compare, of course, but just wanted to add to the evidence/encouragement for Supra ownership.
  14. I was always under the impression that tax is done in bands (perhaps someone will correct me). Someone earning £100k doesn't pay £40k in tax just because the higher tax rat is 40%. Their first ~£6k is inelligible for tax. The remainder up to ~£35k is taxed at 22%, then the rest taxed at 40%. So, they take home ~£68k of a 100k income - overall tax of just 32%. The introduction of the extra 5% would only actually make a difference of £3250 per year to a £100k earner, and that's assuming they introduce it across the board to earnings above £35k, rather than introducing an additional, higher band, for really high earners.
  15. Was walking home and, at the last moment, saw an electric blue Veilside Supra coming down South Charlotte street (next to Gamestation). Anyone here?
  16. Cheers. It wasn't a short MOT back when I first listed it! haha.
  17. I can't tell if this is a joke or not...
  18. BUMP - now I've changed the initial post with pictures and description and whatnot.
  19. Yeah, that's what made me most confused when I found the receipt. Tonnes of stuff I'd never buy (Tuna steaks, vegetables, etc. Not a single pie or deep-fryable thing!), and I was trying to figure out if one of my mates could have dropped it in my car. But it was from the 27th of July, when I was in Gothenberg, and I've only driven the car twice since then! Will actually double check the time on it too, as if it's outside 'office' hours it'll give me more reason to yell at them. Might hit them up for a free wheel refurb or something...
  20. Well I definitely don't trust them now! Not that I'll be taking my car there again anyway...
  21. Ok, I'm kinda pissed off today; here's the story. I put my car in the bodyshop about 6/7 weeks ago to get a key-scratch out of the bootlid (not done by me, just done by some jerk). I gave them the car before I went on holiday, and agreed to pick it up when I got back, a week and a half later (in this time he was going to see if he could find anyone interested in buying it). When I picked it up, I thought the petrol was an awful lot lower than when I gave it to them, but it was already fairly empty anyway. Either way, I didn't take a note of the mileage (schoolboy error). Today I was sitting, idling about in the car, and rummaging through the glovebox to see if there was any forgotten treasures, and I found a receipt in the arm rest. The receipt was from a Lidl in Livingston (I live in Edinburgh), and I suspect they've been having a jolly in my car. I doubt I can do much other than tell them they're bawbags, but I'm pretty raging...
  22. I'd say you're on track. It does take a while for the 'muscle memory' to make the chord changes quickly and fluid, but just keep practicing. When I first started learning, I took a couple of easy songs that are just 3/4 chords and played them over and over (much to the annoyance of everyone in the house). Choose things with fairly basic chords, like Knockin on Heaven's door, or Hurt by Jonny Cash. Or find something specific from a band you like, that has simple 3/4 chord patterns and get that so you're playing at the right tempo and playing the chords cleanly. Also, if you've played 3 hours in two days, keeping that kind of commitment is important for getting good. If you don't get lazy, progress will come very quickly.
