  4. Hi all. Here I have for sale an Olympus Enduro Crosstrainer. I bought this about a year ago, for the wife, who very quickly lost interest. It has all the usual functions; Time, Speed, Distance, Calories, etc, on a digital display. I am sure it does more than the Missus ever found out! It also has a heart rate monitor, driven by the hand grips. Included is 2 sets of 4 rechargeable batteries, and the mains charger, also the instruction manual. Looking for £40 for this. Collection is preferable, as the item is heavy and bulky. The arms and feet can easily be removed for carriage. Cheers
  5. Any offer on these, or they go on freecycle.
  6. The plate I intend to sell to Elite Registrations, when I get the V5 back from DVLA, it is valued at £300, less the £80 fee, so that makes the car an even better bargain. Abz the interior is tasty, with nice quality black leather seats (I have seen a few with red leather, yuk), although nowhere near as comfortable as my old RX8. And of course the residuals on these is horrible, as they have a reputation for packing up. But for a nice looking car, with a bit of grunt, for just a few hundred quid, it`s a deal.
  7. I already did, unknowingly, as I hadn`t noticed when I bought the car last Sunday!
  8. Yeah, it sounds great, and pulls well, has a lovely 6 speed gearbox. I reckon they are great value. (paid £700 for this one).
  9. Hi all. I have a pair of 225/45x17 tyres for sale, good for trackday use as they are remoulds. Although they are road legal, I just didn`t fancy leaving them on my Alfa, as they were the wrong size anyway. They are almost new, and made by Marangoni. £30 the pair, collection from Hereford. I may be able to arrange free carriage elsewhere, depending where you are, give me your location if interested. Cheers from Carl
  10. Well, I have no real money at the moment to spend on a proper car, so just picked up this last weekend as a budget summer fun car. Spent most of the day polishing it, what a bore, countless tiny scratches, and hundreds of tar spots, but looking good now.
  11. Now reduced to £595, as I have its replacement lined up already
  12. I had a UK TT manual a few years ago, 175,000 on it, and still going strong. No smoke or rattles, and the best sounding car (it had non standard exhausts) I have ever owned. Running costs will be quite high, but you should be able to get quite a nice one for c£1600, as ever you should favour an enthusiast owned car, who will have done all the work. UK cars are almost all rotten, imports usually much less so. Things to watch for are leaky roof seals (cheap to fix), and noisy transmissions (not so cheap unless it is only the prop bearing).
  13. Hi all. Selling my 156 as I have decided on the V6 version; http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/3770676.htm
  14. Keep a look out for another 2, to make up to a set, they could be cheap as chips, and you can easily sell the 4.
  15. Hi all. One day last week I got into my van, and set off for work. After about 1 mile I realised I had left my lunch in the fridge at home, so I turned around to go and pick it up. Today I saw a rather odd event, coincidence or not;? I was playing golf at 2.30pm in Ludlow, Shropshire, a gorgeous clear spring day. Overhead I saw the vapour trail of a plane, and could just about make out the profile of the plane, as an airliner. It was heading about Nothwest I reckon, and then turned around, the vapour trail confirming it had made a precise U turn, and was heading on an exact opposite of its original course. Out of curiosity does anyone here work in the airline trade, and have a clue why it would return, and not simply divert elsewhere if there was a problem? I guess it had probably started out from Stanstead or Luton. Must be a lousy start to a holiday, to land up back where you started.
  16. That was exactly what I did after the car developed a low speed, light load judder. Although it is not enough to simply drain the oil, as much of it will still remain in the system. I got a Legnum guru (called Nick Mann, in Redditch), to purge it, and replace with the Amsoil, and that did the trick straight away.
  17. Back to the Legnum, I had one a few years ago, and liked it lots; Cheap as chips (I paid £1300 on ebay for it), quick, very easy to drive, (I had the tiptronic gearbox), and huge luggage space. I spent nothing on it, other than oil additive to try and quieten the noisy tappets (very common problem apparently), and repacement gearbox oil, to cure a juddering, again a common problem. I managed to sell it for £1500 about 6 months later.
  18. Hi all. Does anyone know where I can watch this online?
  19. Hi all. For some reason I can`t begin to comprehend, my wife will not buy me a Supra for my 50th birthday. And at just 6.5k for a superb gunmetal grey TT very close to here, it beggars belief! Anyway, what she will buy me is an Ariel Experience here; http://www.driving-experience-uk.co.uk/the-circuit/ It is at Blyton Park, Lincolnshire, so has anyone been there, or used this company? Cheers
  20. Jealous now, all I have at the moment is a front wheel drive Alfa. I tried it out in the snow last night, and it was about as much fun, as something that is no fun at all!
  21. I will bid you a tenner on the Fatface one.
  22. cheers all . i have decided to do it, as mr clarkson once said "every petrolhead should own one alfa in their life"
