Hi all.
The wife came home in the Audi (2001 S6) yesterday, and said she could not lock it. So I tried with both keyfobs, (both of which worked previously) to no avail. Much messing around and now the alarm and the immobiliser have deployed. So I have disconnected the battery, and begun the head-scratching.
I suspect it could be due to the locks not being able to set, as when I re-attach the battery, (the alarm immediately sounds), it is possible to lock the car with the key in the keyhole, but the fuel flap does not lock, as it should. So would it be a fair guess, that this fuel flap lock has failed, and the locking cycle can thus not complete itself, in turn showing a system fault, and tripping the immobiliser?
Any ideas much appreciated.
Cheers
