  1. Told you so;) Be prepared for the anal shrinking price from Mr T though!!!
  2. By the way, were your turbos going mental at the time everything else was going wrong? Spooling up and whistling even though you were nowhere near being on boost just before everything went dead?
  3. It means overheating cat mate (according to alot of people on here when I asked!) Those are the exact same lights that were coming on when my alt was shot! O/H cat when the car was being started from cold and all that. Things just go a tad bonkers when the alternator goes apparently... Get the charge on your battery checked out, I'll bet you'll see a figure of around 9v as the alt isn't charging your battery!
  4. Dead easy to check the alternator to see though (after checking the crank pulley), just put a multimeter across the battery when the cars on idle, a value of around 13v means its working ok and charging the battery. Less than this and its duff!
  5. IIRC the TT alt is 100amp (or something like that) so I'd check they're big enough before you buy! Ebay ones may turn out to be false economy though! What you've got sounds extremely like the symptoms I had when my alt was buggered.
  6. Changing the alt is easy peasy. Just remove the fan/accessory belt and then your a bolt and a nut away from removing it! Two precautionary tips tho (that caught me the first time) the N/A and TT alts are different (TT one is bigger) and if you go for a brand spanker from Mr T expect to pay around £400 for it (including the refund you get for returning your old 'un!!!!)
  7. I THINK that it's one of the first signs of headgasket failure too (not saying that thats whats happening to yours)! Might be worth checking your oil for signs of contamination?
  8. Cheers Guys!! Haven't been able to get on line the past few days (too many miles driven, too many family members seen and too many christmas dindons consumed!!) Back in work now:(.....But theres no one here so I may just be on here all day!!Shhhhh. Got myself a 42" Panasonic Plasma screen to cheer myself up wot with me turning 30 and all! How old was Jeebus when he died??!?! Gulp!
  9. Dont think so mate, how do you do that?
  10. Hallo everybody! I've just got me a new laptop (after dropping mine on a concrete floor!) and installed Office *cough*copy*cough*. Decided that I'd be all buisness like and sort out Outlook Express to access my Yahoo account. Well all was going swimmingly, I entered my account details including password and off I went. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut.... According to Outlook, Yahoo wont accept the login details. I've checked and double checked them, and they're correct. Has anyone had this problem before? Can anyone help? Rob...
  11. Its already single baby rrrrrra!! You rekon one would fit?! Hmm, off-road wouldn't be a problem, I'd just blast right through EVERYHING! Ding Dong
  12. Well, I know she 'aint no supe, but at least it's still a Toyota, and a mkiv at that! She needs a bit of tlc, some alloys and *ahem* a chip. FOUR BY FOOOOOOOOUR!!! Hooraha!
  13. Provisionally sold to Suprasurrey pending clearing of funds:)
  14. Oh dear, I think it's fully set in already! Every time I look at the place on the yard where she used to sit I get a sick feeling in my stomach! Doesn't help that I've only got either my missus' Ka or the wank works combi to take my frustrations out on!
  15. Thats what they said. Cant see it myself. But then again I don't know diddly bout that part of the world!
  16. These are the ultimate manuals if you are planning on doing any work on your Supra! Not the usual Ebay CD crapola. There are 6 volumes of bound A4 paper that fills a cardboard box that reams of photocopy paper come in! I only got them a few months ago (on CJ's last print run) and they've only been used a couple of times. £40. I haven't checked on postage yet but I'd assume it would be around the £10-15 mark as they are so heavy. Any one interested?
  17. Aye, it was a bit dodgy. They didn't phone until 9.30pm! Then they drove off with her at 11! According to them they already had 2 and were looking for another one after buying Sophia. They rekoned that theyd drive them all to Poland and get £14000 for them! I said 'best of British' and sent them on their way. Miss her soooo much! But a pickup can't be as heavy on fuel as a TT soop, can they?!?
  18. Yeah, spent ages getting them refurbed too.
  19. Sold her last night to a couple of Polish lads. Feel like a part of me is missing, wanted to run down the lane after her. Even though (I think) I got a good price in the present climate the pile of fifties and twenties doesn't seem nearly large enough to compensate. Ah well, going for a Hilux next, so at least its a Toyota! Hope you lot dont mind if I hang around here, especially seeing as I'v only just become a lifer! Anyone got a Hilux for sale? Hahaha.
  20. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand............................... BUMPOLA
  21. Sorry mate, I've gone and set my heart on a 4x4. Got to get something totally different to the power/handling/looks of the TT or else I'll forever be comparing. Daily bumpola people. Everythings gone quiet on wilkorangerovers side. He's read my PM's but hasnt answered, so I assume it wasn't a genuine offer:search:
