    Misfire.

i know the syvecs will not let you create boost if it thinks there is a potential problem, now with you being able to feather it in the ECU may think this is fine, but if you want ALL the power it could be going no chance, and yes protecting the engine. we will need to clear logs, then pull logs after some hard pulls and see what it then brings up?
  2. how does that affect the structure of the car? as in weak points?
  3. i'll get a good look at what i fancy then have look at performance stats on it. i won't be going stock, lets face it we all want that big huge intake at the 45 deg angle hanging off the side of the engine
  4. Like that, should help with flow of the FMIC should it not, as its less distance to travel so to speak ?
  5. As much as i liked my Old Greddy style one, i Prob won't be going with Lee's Version. Why? its simple, everyone has them, want something different tbh on this build, hence why im asking for Options for whats out there. Why?
  6. As i'll be concentrating on the intake side of things first with my build i'm wondering what Options we have with regards to Upgraded Plenums, So far i have looked at - Hypertune Greddy Induction Performance(this comes with custom made fuel Rail) Geo
  7. Sanded down the lower oil sump, took all the rust off back to bare metal, and cleaned it up before hitting it with primer, looks awesome now. Also painted the block now, WOW looks like it came out the shop Block Painted
  8. So Prepped and Painted the Block today, nearly ready for some tasty parts to get installed

guess its laptop back in, you drive i'll pull logs then? im just double checking im doing it right. open Sdata, plug in the ethernet cable with the ignition on but don't start the engine, click device, auto read and it will show a ID window, click ok and it downloads it(rename today's date) It then asks if you want to clear the logs and logbook, click yes. Then file, view in Sview and bingo
  10. So picked up the Engine today after it was cleaned, asked the guy to check how straigh it was. It came back that he had to take off 8 Thou of it, as it was warped, as you can see from the pics the shiney parts, and the circles. this was caused by over heating the old boy said. This kinda corresponds with when i was taking the water pump off the thermostat was crumpled inside, so it could have over heated at one point. All nice and cleaned Honing cleaned up the bores nice. I lubed them up with some oil to keep them from rusting, but the guys had all ready done it, but i was playing it safe. Just need to order my bulk of the parts for the rebuild, to get the bottom end all rebuilt then wrapped up.
  11. My block is with the Engine builders just now, and there dropping it, into there cleaning tank to get it all freshened up. Once i have it back whats the procedure to getting it painted. 1. light rub to get any small inperfections out. 2. treat with some sort of rust chemical or sealant 3. paint with high temp Enamal paint 4. rub Oil into the cyclinder walls to prevent from rusting? Obviously masking it up, and plugging holes etc
  12. was the 2 small ones at the front, there a bitch to get out if they fall.

  15. that not about £380 per wheel + delivery + custom charge if you hit with it?
  16. OK so Engine goes to get cleaned tomorrow, i had one little thing to do prior to it going, was the core/freeze plugs. Lee/Hodge said to replace while i had the chance. So with a big flat head screw driver and hammer i smacked the life out them, to turn them on there side, then with some Grips wiggled them free. I had some emery paper so i cleaned up the holes and wiped with some WD-40. Tbh they were easy to pop out, the bugger was when they fell into the black, i spend out 20mins wrestling with one to get it back out the hole. all set now for some loving
  17. first for everything i suppose strange that it was just one, book says do it over 7 passes, so 7 passes it was just as well there getting replaced, and i got the leftovers out.
  18. I've actaully just noticed them bud, while looking at other builds on here. manual is in garage just now. i'll pop em out, and replace once its all cleaned proper
  19. So as my Block goes to get cleaned on Monday now, i've got 2 wee jobs to get done before i drop it off. One nut holding a sensor bracket. And core plugs, do i need to change these? or just leave them in? If i need to change them, how do i do it? thanks
