  1. In Woking but also up in Charlton regularly as well
  2. I have some carbon fibre vents that need cutting into my bonnet so I might as well make the whole thing carbon fibre, I also need my carbon fibre spoiler neatening up a bit, can anyone recommend a good place to get these things sorted?
  3. Yeah that was me - I was driving through Camberly/Frimley - I'm off tonight to check out Bluewater as I'm from near there originally but now in Woking.
  4. If you want to get technical black is the fastest colour as it takes less coats to get a good finish which technically means the car is lighter which should aid performance. Key words being should and technically!
  5. Where do abouts are you? If your around Surrey that may have been me?
  6. I bought an import N/A last week and need either an English instruction manual (if possible) or something to start getting UK service stamps, anyone know where to get one?
  7. cheers guys! - I dont think the guy who owns it knows to much about Supras, he didn't even lean it for the pics of the car!!!!
  8. before I buy it, were Supra TT's made in a JZ version/spec? I know it was made in RZ/RZ-S or GZ spec but didn't know it was also a JZ - whats the difference?
  9. I'm still looking for the UK Supra, I have 9k to spend - i went a bit silly with the other grand -ooops! Its a shame that Supra on Pistonheads has gone, I've just gone on my lunch at work so I wouldn't have been able to do anything before now anyway. Scooter, I'm from Woking so I've probably seen you around no doubt?
  10. definately - thanks for the advice guys. I'm not too fussed if its a N/A or TT - I just want a Supra!! Obviously I want the cheapest insurance for it too which is why I went for the UK TT but with these being so few and far between, I have decided to get an import. I'd prefer to buy from someone here as I know the car has been loved rather than abused
  11. a non turbo caught my eye so I am really keen on this - what do you think? I will have alook at insuring an import TT though http://pictures.autotrader.co.uk/ATD_web/servlet/media?id=275393993 http://pictures.autotrader.co.uk/ATD_web/servlet/media?id=275394021
  12. cheaper to insure that is
  13. I'm 21 and got my quote for a UK TT down to £1100 which I think is brilliant. I have got bored of waiting for another TT after one was taken before I could get it so I have decided to get or look into a non turbo import as in theory it should be cheaper than an import TT
  14. yeah it was made in 2000, looks sweet as, it ashould have VVTI as well?
  15. I've given up on the search for the UK TT and decided to get an import non turbo. The non turbo only has 5 gears whereas the TT has 6 - thinking long term now, when I decide the non turbo is to grow up into a single turbo, will it be possible to swap the gear boxes from a non turbo to a 6 speed TT 'box to make the most out of the new found power? Also, I've never bought an import before so what should I look out for and ask to see? any help would be great about importing. swapping the 'boxes or if your selling a manual UK TT?
  16. They're quick to take your money but slow to pay out. "Sorry we wont pay out because you didn't declare the nail in your tyre"
  17. I'll have to question that one when I get my supra otherwise I will find other ways and means!!
  18. Simple when you think bout it! They said it gives you a years NCB at the end, they probably stich you up somewhere along the line.
  19. Homer, whats BOV? I'm after an almost standard TT so it's not too much trouble going thru admiral. They do 10 month thing which ll be good to get the NCB quicker
  20. I thought if I'm getting cheaper quotes on a more powerful UK car I might as well go for it. I got the UK insurance down to £1135 but have to pay thall which I cant do after buying the car so I will have to pay about £1400, still goodonsidering I have 0 NCB and I'm 21 The Supra has fallen thru cos the RAC said it is a shitter! Nevermind, I've waited so long I'm sure I cant wait a little longer - gutted! Not sure how to attach pics but I'll try - I cant even put a piure under my name!!!
  21. sky couldn't match mine they quoted £2200 a year for a UK TT, try admiral .com if you can pay all cash up they quoted me £1136.00 with 0 NCB and i'm only 21. i didn't wanna but i put the missus on the insurance and it dropped from £1500!!! wierd!! If you cant pay all cash upfront they sting you but it stl comes out at £1400 something! its a shame the guy i'm buying the UK TT from was selling a dud and stood me up!
  22. the UK supra is about £2000 cheaper for me to insure as I'm only 21. I went to see Zed's and it was stunning well worth travelling from Surrey to Bradford just to see it, unfortunately there was another guy there who was able to put down a deposit the same day. Never mind, I've paid a deposit on another and should be picking it up tomorrow - I cant wait, I've been waiting for this since school! See you at the meets soon no doubt?
  23. I know this post is in the wrong place but there are more people viewing these threads and need all the help I can get in finding the "one" I'm looking for a manual UK TT Supra for under £10k, I have seen a couple of stunning examples but have been beaten to making a offer. I have been looking for almost nine months now and know that you lot can help. I have the funds available so if anyone knows of any that are available or want to sell yours please let me know, I am not too fussy about colours, age etc thanks
  24. What about breakers? does anyone know who would have 2nd hand supra parts? - got too much to buy with such little money!!!
  25. Thanks for the help guys, better save a few more pennies to get them!
