  1. if they take your £30 for your agreed value and they have taken it, surely that would class as acceptance and wouldn't make a difference to any claim as they would pay the agreed value anyway? Unless they try to say that you modified your car without notifying them and will refuse to payout, but that could be the same with any insurer?
  2. I think that was me, going home the LONG way for some reason?? Was you in your Supe as I dont remember seeing a black one (probably because it was dark) only a silver one around Croyden by some road works somewhere

    2002 supra

also the Supra could have been imported before the regulations changed
  4. when i was at college i parked on the end of a row of cars (not in a bay I might add or the Supra but still with plenty of space to get past ) and some idiot parked right on my driverside door, it gave me about 3cm of room to get in so I had to get in the passenger side - not saying how I got revenge though
  5. I'll park in one bay at the quietest end of the car park but guarenteed a car will park next to me out of every avaiable space - why???? thats the only reason why I sometimes take two bays - it looks horrible having door scars down the side of your bodywork
  6. where's this thread because I cannot find it?
  7. I'm definately up for it but voted maybe due to the cost (funds are low). I would love to get the chance to learn how to handle my car properly, will there be much damage to the tyres (expensive) or is most of the stuff on wet skid pans? its my birthday next week so I know what would be a great present :d
  8. Group buy!!!! (surely if there's enough interest )
  9. I know this must be a but I have searched and couldn't find anything, does anyone know anything more about this kit or if it even exists? http://carlife.carview.co.jp/Image.asp?src=http%3A%2F%2Fcarview%2Er3h%2Enet%2Fimages4%2Ecarview%2Eco%2Ejp%2Fcarlife%2Fimages%2FUserDiary%2F1273210%2FP1%2Ejpg
  10. yes but not in the MET (if what I am told is correct), you need a clean record for them
  11. It will still probably be cheaper in the long run not to go thru the insurance as crashing a car like that can send your premium thru the roof
  12. Spot me then (you cant miss me)!!! I always have a big grin on my face and flash and wave when I see others in their Supes
  13. despite being in the US I would pay £25 and the shipping costs for the top secret bodykit alone!!
  14. 265/35/18 on the rear and 235/40/18 on the front, to be honest I think I am going to go for the Goodyears. It wouldn't be so bad if only two tyres needed replacing. time to sell a few things I think....
  15. if it does it when you brake/accelerate it could be something to do with the seat belt system, mine makes clunking noises all the time when it locks the belts. Failing that its your passengers - kick em out
  16. Sometimes my front bumper and exhaust are in contact with the road bastards, I dont understand people who do that unless they have a valid reason (which there isn't many!!) Sounds like a dodgy porno site but had a quick look and they are a similar price to mytyres but they have the option of getting them fitted which is good
  17. Ouch!!! Why 7 and not an even number? do you not have a LSD on yours or replace them in pairs? Thats where I got the prices from, I have a mate at quickfit trying to get a decent set of Dunlops down to £500
  18. I see a few round near me but to be honest I see a LOT more Bentley Continental GT things than Supes
  19. The Eagle F1's are the ones I'm swaying towards but could just do without losing almost £600 in one go
  20. The time has come to replace ALL FOUR tyres on my Supe which will not make my bank balance look any better I'm looking at getting some winter (handles well in snow and wet etc) Goodyear Eagle's all round which will set me back £580.80. If I were to get some "top quality" Centurio summer tyres (hanldes well in wet but not so good in snow) for £312.64 would these be okay for winter driving? Obviously the cheaper tyres are looking more tempting but does anyone have any thoughts/experience with not so well known brands as this will be my first winter in the Supe

    uk spec supra

Is that it!!??? If you triple it you will get just over what I'm paying for my N/A, I am 21 though!! I was looking for a manual UK TT but gave up due to it being harder to find (although I test drove one and almost bought it (wow it was fast!! )) I was quoted around £1100 for a UK TT (was £1500 untill I put my parents on it with Admiral/Elephant) which is why I wanted one but decided to pay a grand less on the car and get one that I really wanted and put that extra £1000 towards the insurance - I definately made the right choice! Give sky a go, they have agreed value and like for like mods etc
  22. I removed my spoiler and had the same trouble with dirt underneath but that soon came off with T-Cut. I like the spoilerless look but it didn't look right with my kit, plus there are so many uses for the spoiler, check out the links below... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbpicgallery.php?do=big&p=3215 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=42665&d=1156871021
  23. just reduced the quality of some pics, there are too many to post up so I chose a few, the large group shot I screwed up on my car (out of all of them ) I thought I'd show you how a Veilside spoiler should really be used
  24. Sorry for the poor quality of the video but it was taken on my video phone (I have lots of high quality photos from the day which I need to reduce in size before I post them up) its a 3gp file which should play in Quick Time, I havent tried in Media Player You can hear the guy on the bike reving behind and then the lovely burble of jaimiep's Supe to silence it and then he goes in a trail of smoke - mmmmmmm :D Supra.zip
  25. I have the video evidence for that one!!! wow is all I can say!! :d I got a few more pics of the day which I will post up when I can (and maybe the video?) It was a good evening which I enjoyed and in my opinion was worth the money. I got my food straight away when the queue was shorter so no complaints there!! Also its true what they say about the Veilside spoiler being a table and I put that to good use!!!
