You need to do the back bolts first to bring the fronts into line. Also only put the roof back on on a flat surface, as body flex can make the holes misalign. Lastly get some silicone spray from Halfords, it’s used to bring rubber seals back to life and is very effective at stopping leaks.
  2. 80% of my driving is motorway as I use the car to commute - so that is probably the issue. so next up where can I get the camber changed?
  3. Well they are 152.90 a pop on mytyres and that is generally a very cheap place to get them so I’m happy. Plus I had the convenience of the shop being around the corner from my work, they did it on the spot in about 10 mins. Just tyres in Uxbridge was the place, they even stayed open late for me
  4. Ok had my new shoes fitted on the rear yesterday (SportContact 2's) and although the tyre fitter chaps thought the camber was ok and that the tyres didn't look to uneven on wear - I’m still sceptical (the last F1's did 6000K). A few of you have told me you are getting even wear from tyres and I like the sound of that (save £££’s ). So the question, what should the camber be? – I’m a bit of a numpty on the subject but I understand that the idea of camber is to create cornering grip and it is measured in degrees. And second where can I get this checked and adjusted? Is it a specialist job? I thank you
  5. I am now the skint owner of two SportContact 2 rear tyres, although £320 fitted at a local place was very reasonable I thought. My car is once again legal!
  6. You can tell, but depends if you’re playing on a good system or not though. It clips more frequencies the lower you go.
  7. They look the part and could be a bargain, but I've never heard of them! At that price I think it best to get the opinion of someone who has run them on a Sup... anyone have an opinion?
  8. You can download the latest media player for free from microsoft's website
  9. I've just had a look on mytyres and can only see contacts 2 and 3 and they are far from £95 each! (150-170) Where did you get them from? ...and any traders I need tyres!!! 2 x 255/35/18
  10. I've got 235/40/18 and 255/35/18, so not stock. Does the Psi change much?
  11. This is going to sound really bad, but they were only put on in October and I’ve not checked the pressure since. What should the front / rear pressure be then?
  12. To the best of my knowledge and when i last checked you must have at least two mirrors: 1, two wing mirrors 2, drivers side wing and interior mirror. Vans usually have the first; some sports cars have the second (albeit usually older ones like an e-type jag) Them the rules!
  13. The wear is heavier on the inside but I thought that’s just the sup for you isn’t it? The stock setup has got camber to help cornering. The outside is pretty worn as well (down to the markers to change the tyre anyway)
  14. After 6000 miles my rear Goodyear F1 tyres are toast - and I really don't drive that hard or badly, no spinning, sliding or donuts! This can’t be normal – or is it!? Most of my driving is motorway commuting. So question… what’s the best life/performance compromise tyre?
  15. I was looking around the net just now and found a slogan generator, you enter a word and it puts that within an advertising slogan (see: http://thesurrealist.co.uk/slogan) So naturally I put in the word 'Supra' and the funniest line came out... "You'll Look a Little Lovelier Each Day with Fabulous Pink Supra" :d
  16. It depends what width your rims are, you would ideally want a 9.5" rear with a 265. 255 is the biggest you should sensibly go on a 9".
  17. front 8" wide rim 235/40/18 Rear 9" wide rim 255/35/18 The difference in rolling radius is negligible especially when you bring into play the rears wearing out more than twice as fast as the front!
  18. I was just thinking it would be a novel modification if you could get a salvaged drivers seat from the USA and then have electric seat adjustment on both sides. Anyone done this?
  19. Not mine but looks like original US spec and clean too, so if you don't mind a left hooker... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1995-Toyota-Supra-TARGA-TWIN-TURBO-CLEAR-US-TITLE_W0QQitemZ4642048924QQcategoryZ18290QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  20. The ones on the top of the boot are hard plastic (so they don't wear out they just knacker the bottom ones) - I bought a whole new set to replace them before i realised the tops weren't rubber, and they were more expensive than the bottom ones! What a waste of time. Just get the bottom
  21. not mine but for anyone who's looking http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOYOTA-SUPRA-MKIV-FRONT-SEATS_W0QQitemZ4638610539QQcategoryZ10428QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  22. Thanks - Is it the same for an N/a? (apart from any turbo bits obviously!)
