  1. I take it to be a common code then...
  2. ok. do this.... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35920 check the code and you will find out whats up! Just done mine, code 42. dodge speed readings...so it was when the last guy took the delimiter out he messed it up.
  3. so thats it! speed sensor reading. when they guy at the garage to the delimiter out he must have not got good connections. Well Matt Harwood is going to sort that out for me when he puts in a Thor delimiter and speedo conversion. At least I know my engine isn't going to blow up. Whe do they put it so close to the oil lights!! it made me think I was going to cease the engine up getting home!!!
  4. right, torch in hand beed outside and got the diagnostic code from the ecu. code 42
  5. the guy in the garage tried to delimit and convert it for me but was using cheap converters so I told him to take it out again (needle was eratic). maybe he hasn't put the wores back together right.
  6. I just bought a supra.....exactly the same problem! Light comes on after I have been at about 70mph for a couple of minutes. Then it stays on until I turn the engine off and on again. what the...??? checked oil and is just under the max line. Just had a service with new oil filter, air filter and oil change. Has anyone ever had this problem and sorted it out??
  7. Right....finally picked up my supra from the garage (just bought it) as they were closing tonight. Drove around london abit feeling good! then went on the north circular to driv home so had a chance to open her up a bit......after going about 95kmph (what ever that is in mph) for a couple of minutes these lights cam on. (see pic) so I slowed down, stopped at the first garage and checked the oil and rad..fine. Started her up...no lights...couple of minutes later...lights back on! What do they mean? The car has just had an MOT and service before I picked it up, although one of the headlights is dead so I don't know how it passed the MOT. help please!!
  8. Everyone that has fitted these....how do you get rid of the locator holes under the rear badge? Are there any more available? black on block or chrome on black.....votes please?

    Supra Manual

any chance I could get a copy of that cd! ---- I also would like the owners manual if you have a spare
  10. nobody know the correct paper work?
  11. Is it really the case that standard intake is better than all aftermarker ones? I thought that was one of the only tune up options for the n/a? Having just got myself an n/a I would like to hear if anyone has any tuning ideas to get my bhp up! (picking it up from the garage at 6pm! peeing myself with excitement)
  12. haha, You get a whole extra '1'. The difference between 10 and 11 must be enormous. By the way....its not going on my car either
  13. Anyone want a gold Toyota badge for the boot? I want a silver or black one, don't like the bling of the gold. If I can get it off....straight swap.
  14. Thats what I thought. Bought a resistor that claimed to do the same to my old car (mk2 1.8 mx5) except it wasn't variable of course. Never fitted it though, seemed like it would just take mpg down.
  15. Anyone ever tried one of these? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/45BHP-VariPower-TOYOTA-MR2-Celica-RAV-4-Supra-Yaris_W0QQitemZ8007623971QQcategoryZ32094QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem seems a bit unrealistic to me, anyone had hands on experience?
  16. I see alot of you on here have used hammerite to paint your calipers, but I also know that hammerite is very flammable. Anyone had any problems with it? I painted the crank case on a motorbike I used to have with black hammerite and from what I can remember it used to smell of burning paint evertime I stopped moving! Also, anyone got a guide on how to remove them and ? Cheers people.
  17. What is the 8J and 9J? do you mean the depth of the wheel itself? as in 8" wide alloy, and 9"wide alloy?
  18. Ok, after seeing lots of pics or 17", 18" & 19" wheels on your supras, hearing pros and cons of each, I have decided to go for 18"s.....but.....there are so many different suggestions for tyre size and wheel offsets on here! What are the best tyre sizes and wheel offselts for a n/a, and whill I need any spacers? Look forward to hearing your ideas people!
  19. make templates for the front....you mean they are bigger than 6.5" at the front? I heard there are speaker mounts under the back seats...is this right? Sorry if I sound lame not knowing, or checking myself ....I haven't got my supra yet! picking it up on thursday
  20. What are the standard size speakers through-out the supra? I am looking to swap them all for a better component set. Anyone know all the sizes?
  21. I would get the Toad Ai606. Fitted it is between 275 and 350, plenty of adds on the net where people come and fit it at your place. It doesn't have external sensors but you can get an add on for it, about £40 I think.
  22. I will look at the pic too...interested
  23. how much are the wire looms? I haven't got them yet!
  24. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/97-98-Toyota-Supra-Crystal-Clear-Bumper-Indicators_W0QQitemZ8006289200QQcategoryZ14763QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I have just bought some off this guy. Not arrived yet though so no review...but they look the same as any others!
  25. I am picking my car up from the garage in the next few days, as soon as the DVLA have got back with the reg. Fresh import....unfortunatly no paper work. I have bought a Toyota service book to log services from here on, and have also done a BIMTA mileage, number of owners, stolen, HPI check and got the all clear (and a certificate). What else doe you normally get in the paper work of the car? I know I obviously need an owners manual so if anyone has a spare for some reason let me know, but what else normally comes in the paper work? help me out people cheers
