My first day of ownership couple of years ago: 10.00am - Pick up nice shiny Sup from garage (with big grin on face ) 10.10am - Cruising (it's my new pride & joy don't want to ding it) 10.15am - Oooo pull in 2nd gear is nice 10.20am - Building up bit of confidence now 10.25am - Look in mirror, BM behind me (hey!! I can take this guy ) 10.28am - Approaching roundabout about 70ishhhh 10.28.23am - Ooooo back sliding 10.28.25am - Coming out of roundabout, now on other side of road (life flashes before me ) 10.28.27am - Back on correct side of road, BM zooms past flashing , I park up for breather at edge of road 10.30am - I head home doing 40mph thinking SHIIIIT!!!! that was close, nearly crash car before even owning it for half hour. Couple years on, thankful that I had no Turbo under the hood for my first cocky race in a rear wheel drive. (and the fact there was no one coming the other way when on other side of road, feeeewwwww) Some live the tale, some don't. Moral of the story - DON'T ACT A TWAT IN A HIGH POWERD CAR. Must admit, I'm looking forward to the drive to isle of white this year, as last year I had to drive the mother-in-laws Skoda (sorry peoples!!!) god I was soooooo glad to be back in my motor after that. So this year without question it will be in my motor. Don't care that it will be cramped with camping gear, I'm just looking forward to them roads again in a proper car Really did make me realize how much I me sup. ....and yes I look back at mine when I've parked up somewhere
