A friend if mine left another friends house on wednesday night to get food from a takeaway a couple of miles away. A very competent and carefull motorcyclist. He never came back. A car had overtaken on cross hatchings on a blind bend. Poor kid never stood a chance. So i've just been to lay some flowers at the scene. Parked in a gateway well off the road with my hazards on and my hi-vis vest on just in case. Car comes belting round the corner on the cross hatchings overtaking WHILST I'M FECKING STOOD THERE LAYING FLOWERS!!!!!! Made me so angry! Any how, moral of the story.....please take care if you ride a bike cos as you well know, most of the time its not you, its the twat in the car that cant drive.

Mapping is all about getting everything working at its optimum for the particular setup. So getting the map to suit the cars modifications is important yes. I would strongly suggest a weekend over here when you get the car, and maybe book it in with one of the club tuners. Least you'l know its been done and the car is running ok. Buying a tuned car blind is a risky game. It could be perfect or it could be half botched and not setup right. Last thing you want is the dreaded det and a holy piston.

Depends how you mean stock. Obviously for 550bhp you have various supporting mods for the turbos (if they are capable of that sort of figure). Stock rods and pistons have been known to handle nearer 1000bhp fine, and i think some of the guys in the states are running even more on stock internals. Tbh, you need to get a good tuner to check out what you've actually got before you start looking at achieving 550bhp. You may well not need to do much!

When the auto changes gear your foot is still on the throttle hence no dump. It doesnt need to dump unless you lift off.

You've just echoed exactly what i said to James earlier. I really cant see how its going to work. If it does eventually work, i cant see it being very efficient or having much longevity.
