  1. I've got a CW 2nd Cat removal pipe going spare if you want to make me an offer. They are about £140 new, all stainless steel. I can't fit it because mine runs too much boost with both cats out (22psi).
  2. There is a curved plate that hangs down behind the diff between the rear wheels and where my hiper goes under this it is grounding. The clearance betweek the Hiper and the plate is only 15mm so it couldn't really go any higher.
  3. I've got 36psi in them at the moment - I raised them from 34psi at Bentwaters and have left them there. I wonder if the car runs slightly lower in hot weather with the extra heat in the springs and damping oil? My F1's are nearly on the wear-bars at the back as well so that's a few mm! I've definitely got to put a plate on this weekend though or I'll hole my exhaust.
  4. Checked mine over the weekend as it seems to be getting worse lately. I have Eibachs with standard shocks and 18"s and I've flattened a lovely oval section about 80mm long at the lowest part of the exhaust (HKS Hiper). Some of the gouges are fairly deep and it is only a matter of time before they wear thru. I was thinking of fixing a metal plate over this section with liquid metal or something - armour plating if you will. Any thoughts?
  5. Thanks guys, you've put my mind at rest.
  6. There is some talk on the main list of Paul Whiffins water temps being very high (on trackdays) and the possibility that his APEXi FMIC is blocking air flow to the water radiator. Can anyone comment about the HKS Type S FMIC? Also, his power steering cooler has been removed by the fitment of the FMIC - is this the same for the HKS? Should be getting mine soon and this is the first 'negative press' I've seen for FMIC's so I'm a little concerned.
  7. Mine is in PSI (+ve) and mmHg (millimetres mercury) (-ve). I run about 10psi (0.8 bar) on the first turbo and 19psi(1.3ish) with both. Your vac sounds about right and the boost is 13-14psi which is just above the standard 11psi. What mods are you running, sounds like at least a zorst and filter for that boost.
  8. Brakes - UK spec if they fit behind you rims, CW or PW race pads with good fluid if not. Exhaust and Induction - Blitz and HKS are both popular. Depends how loud you want you exhaust and how much you have to spend. With the recent group deals that have been floting around for HKS stuff I would say this has the edge at the moment. ECU - BIG money and not really necessary as long as you still have the stock turbos and fuelling. I would also think about some uprated suspension as it makes a huge difference.
  9. Look on www.mkiv.com under tech articles. There is a procedure for installing a SPA boost gauge with all the pics and detail you could want showing exactly where to plumb it in.
