Should you be considering fitting a V8 1UZ-FE engine and/or transmission into your Supra. The speedometer signal in the early LS400 A341E Lexus transmission is not compatible with the Supra speedometer. Further details in this thread; http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthr...1uz-conversion This issue can be remedied using a Speedometer Signal Interface such as this; http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.c...rod/prd126.htm Prefferably, avoid the earliest versions of this engine and transmission, which can be identified by the 50042 ECU and A341E transmission. Much less conversion work is required with the later models, which can be identified by the 50350 ECU and A342E transmission.

Hi Scott, how's it going? After a disaster with the wife's NA I ended up using my spare 2j engine in her's and have gone back to plan A and that is to use the 1uz in mine. Almost at the stage now where I can get both the front and rear subframes bolted back into the shell and get it rolling again, then once that's done I will be having a go at getting the 1uz into it. I am on the lookout for a pair of mounts and brackets and also a pair of manifolds (it didn't come with exhaust manifolds did it? I haven't unpacked it all yet, its still in the yard I had it delivered to!) and then I am good to go I think. Regards Shane
