ardasaliah
maybe a dumb question:p but where do you guys think a stock/BPU supra would come on the top gear lap times? surely it would be somewhere respectable. Wish they would include some of the older cars just for comparison. ArdZ http://www.topgear.com/content/tgonbbc2/laptimes/thestig/
JamieP
it would be great if we could have a supra meet there, the mitsi lancer register hired it for a day so it must be possible

chilli
yes I've often wondered that but I'd like to a bpu or better one as I think standard might be a little dissapointing perhaps

jason m
Club track day would be excellent. CW in a bpu'd car would be pretty quick I reckon.
chilli
who would we rate as the best forum driver then, mkivsupra.net stig, is CW good?
Pete
Chris has been racing for years and spends every waking hour thinking about the track. (and those asleep dreaming of it...and welding) I believe the Stig is the physical manifestation of Chris' mind from being trapped in the garage whilst working on our cars to feed his track addiction. Bobbeh
That guy who had an hours practise on the track before anyone saw it can be ignored imho Anyway, whens the rematch, the weathers.. kinda getting better?
paul mac
thing is guys you will NEVER see a supe on that track (at least not in that programme) do you think they would risk a 13 year old (and more importantly JAP)car potentially embarrasing BMW, Mercedes, Porche, Ferrari etc, i read somewhere that holiday programmes are "sponsored" by travel companys who dictate what is to be shown i seriously think this is the case with Top gear
Class One
Define driver? Track driver or road driver or kart driver? Being a good track driver doesn't necessarily make you a good road driver and vice versa. Admittedly CW has loads of hours and experience of track driving and I've no doubt he could wop 99.9% of our asses on the track. I know .net has some pretty handy Kart drivers as well so its never easy to say how is or would be the best driver.

RedM
Why not email Top Gear and ask them? Maybe Terry S could have his car driven by the Stig.
Bobbeh
Agreed I think you or Aron could go for it too, I think you two are the only 2 I know on this forum who have lapped the ring in under 8.

Surely Clarkson, Needle et al cant be that blind to the huge amount of quality cars that arent german/'supercar' - it has to be corporate sponsorship
