My ever-evolving Rear End!

Just a few pics showing what the car was like when I bought it & what it looks like now.

I've taken off the plastic numberplate surrounds & the roof spoiler. I think it looks much better now.

I've got bodyshop doing some bits in a week or so, including...

New bumper (without foglight cut in)

Rear foglight conversion

Clear lense conversion

Light unit sprayed silver inside (see Raystheroof pics)

Rear wiper base removed / repaired

Rear wiper sprayer removed / repaired

Aerial removed / repaired

Toyota & Supra badges removed / repaired

Roof spoiler area repaired

The hatch has been sprayed before when the old wing was taken off and filled, so the badges are starting to look a bit tacky from where they were taped. The wiper & aerial wont work because of the spoiler so I'm getting them bits off & everything cleaned up.

I've got other bits & bobs to do, but this is the rear end for now! :)

I'll post some more pics when I've got a few more bits done

Crikey, just realised how big the pics are! Sorry!

Forgot to say, I took the Blitz badge off too. I didn't realise they were individual letters, so have been playing anagrams with them!

Forgot to delete my numberplate as well. Oh well.

Oh yeah, I got a new numberplate as well!

Glad you got rid of the plastic, I hate that stuff. Just work on the fog light next :D

Good work m8.

Cheers Bobbeh

I thought there were too many 'stuck on' bits, and am just getting round to sorting a few of them out.

Obviously having that huge spoiler messes a few things up, but I think it looks great with the CF bonnet so am keeping it.

Tried doing the foglight conversion today but couldn't find a 5 pin relay anywhere. Phoned about 15 places, but they either didn't answer or didn't have any.

I'm still looking for a silver rear bumper if anyone wants to swap/part ex! :)

Although the foglight isn't a stick on, there's obviously a big hole in the bumper behind it which might be uneconomical to repair due to the flex in the bumper there! Hence the need for a bumper in good nick!

I'd lose the spoiler, the gold badge and the foglight. I'd be embarrased to drive round with that spoiler on my car.

Haha! I'm keeping the spoiler, so I guess I wont be giving you lifts anywhere Jake!

You're right about the badge. I'm not sure if it was an option or not but I don't like it. The Supra badge isn't an original one either.

How about be original and despoiler it?

Because I'm a chav & like embarressing myself! :)

Can we have a spell check option on the reply section because I'm not sure how to spell embarressing & don't want to get abuse for that as well!

Which is the TRD wing? Would it go with my TRD sideskirts?! (Waits for it! :) )

i'd quickly edit that to toyota sideskirts mate before anyone sees :D

TRD wing is class, quite a few cars have got it on now. the Rod Millen one is very similar. TRD, Rod Millen or stock only :D

  • 2 weeks later...

For those of you who are interested, I went and saw it today. It looked great! Looks like they're doing a good job. I should be able to pick it up tomorrow afternoon.

When I got there I saw it and the spoiler was off, with all the other bits removed and smoothed over and it looked great! From the side it looks a funny shape, but every other angle the car looks really good. Just wish I took my camera down there.

There are four (or was it 8!?) small holes where the spoiler goes back in. I was thinking about getting them to smooth it all over & get rid of the spoiler when I saw how good it looked without it, but didn't want to panick decision it! I suppose it'll be fairly easy if I do decide in the future.

Anyway, fingers crossed I'll be posting some photos tomorrow! :)

(hurry up with those lights Ray! :) )

(hurry up with the fog light conversion stuff Emin! :) )

(hurry up someone with a silver bumper for me! :) )

Phone them NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Get rid of it :D

Once the rear has been painted you'll have to do it all again when you decide that the rest of us were right about the spoiler ;)

LOL, too late they're closed!

The only reason I decided to get rid of the rear wiper base and sprayer is because the spoiler wouldn't allow the wiper to move!

What am I like......:)
