David P
The Demisterman unit is available on ebay and costs considerably less than OE, it fits and works fine, but don't expect your feet to ever be warm again during the winter. In the cooling section link in 'my garage', there is a pic of them side-by-side.

So it doesnt work as well as the o/e unit then ? hence its only £
caseys
Gone up in price then! http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?193835-Cheap-heater-matrix-for-%A362.00&highlight=cheap+heater+matrix
David P
Here it is. Fit and work a treat, but only 14 row black copper, OE is 24 row alloy. Peace of mind and cold feet.

Dnk
so does it heat up and produce good heat ? If you get cold feet it doesnt sound like it heats up anything like the o/e unit. Glad i spent the money on the real deal now.
David P
It is nowhere near as efficient as OE, I wouldn't use one again.
Chris Wilson
It probably has less than half the heat rejection of the OE one, so I wouldn't want to be sat in a car with Demisterman's matrix on a -18 night You get what you pay for, Volvos are often popping heater matrices, the Ebay ones are hopeless (but cheap) the OE ones are FANTASTIC, but about £450. Nothing beats a Volvo or Saab heater, those Swedes know about warm feet and clear screens
