Scooter
it was on ebay (still listed on the completed listings) from a private seller...........dented drivers wing and cracked pass front bumper.........not major and now repaired by the look of it. I emailed the seller and could have got it for £7,500 but triptronic and with the damage i was undecided.......a day or so later it was withdrawn from ebay and a day or so after that was at the deaer in the ad attached. i agree its a nice car. Scooter
so he shifted it from the private to a dealer pretty sharpish... wonder why.. its an ideal car and nice too I don't think there is anything untoward going on or anthing to suspect the car isn't fine, just that this dealer is good at taking low priced desirable models from private buyers who are often asking very reasonable amounts for their cars. Private buyers seem either slow to react to these good value cars or are put off buying privately because of the low price? either way this dealer is doing well on the back of this unwillingness to buy......... I understand that its how dealers work but usually these cars aren't in the public eye before they appear on their forecourts however recently I've seen a fair few pistonhead, autotrader and ebay cars such as this one ending up at dealers. formatzero
Not much you cant find out on here, thanks for the info, if i had seen it for £7.5k i'd certainly have gone for a look. In my trade in price thread Chris Wilson had said this price was over the top but having looked round if you want a car thats around 97/98 all the dealers are charging this money even private sales are over £8k and if your fussy about condition, milage and colour your choice narrows even more.A search on auto trader or pistonheads shows how few cars there are. I agree that supply is low, there used to be almost 200 supras on autotrader and now it hovers around 80. You need to be very quick to pickup one of the genuine and good value private sales before the two or three dealers actively seeking them find them. Its especially difficult when most of us are working all week whilst a dealer can just view/buy 24/
formatzero
I posted this thread march last year as i was really interested in this car but couldn't sell my n/a in time to get a look at it before it was sold. However it's back on pistonheads now for the same money £9995,the surprising thing is this year it has 42k miles instead of the 48k it had last year, funny that:D Same dealer too as far as i can remember.
