Supra pain

Does anyone else get a sore back after driving their Supra. I've been working away for a few months so the Supra's been in the garage so when I was back home at the weekend I took it out for a spin. The next day I had a right pain in my lower back.

I remember getting it the last few times I was out in the Supra (months ago). It's stock seats and the suspension is reasonably soft.

Am I getting old? Do i need to buy a taxi style beaded seat cover? Is the Supra punishing me for keeping it locked up in the garage?

I find the stock seat really comfortable, main reason I have kept them even though they weigh a ton

Yes, i find driving for more than an hour or two gives me a backache, probably the most uncomfortable seats i've ever had, thankfully i rarely spend that long in them.

I find the stock seats to be very comfortable .

I drove back from Reading to Glasgow and me and my Dad both mentioned on several occasions how comfy the car was.

I do get back pain if I drive for any distance in my Supra, but I put it down to my being 6' 5" and therefore probably not what the Japanese had in mind when they designed the car in the first place!

A new set of seats is definitely on the shopping list for the future...

No problem here and ive done over 100k in stock seats and around 5k recently on lowered stiffer suspension and on 19's

I should get your backs checked out guys

happens on long journeys for me in every car my back is very upright when i drive normally stuck to the steering wheel but cant help it

I'm only 26! I'd like to think I'm not past it quite yet!

27, never get any back problems except post Supra driving. Maybe it's all the G-Force from BPU power

Probably old git syndrome;) i replaced mine mainly because i was getting back pain on long trips, not had a problem since fitting the Konigs, i think if you have had previous back injury's/problems the std seats are not very good IMO.

i loved my old stock seats. upgraded to buckets and smash the back of my head on the harness block holes (whatever they are called). prob i found with stock seats they were too comfortable and found myself dropping of on long journeys.

I find them really comfy, I drove from Newcastle to Castle Combe and then back to Harrogate in one day (for Japfest) and never had any pains or aches.

I should point out I don't find them unconfortable when sitting in them, it's after driving it I get the back pain.

I have to admit the seats are very comfy, just drove 154miles in the sup and enjoyed everyone!

Well there's an easy fix for that, stay in the car;)

I guess a few of the seats could have lost there support maybe, ive had serious spine damage and being totally honest one of the best places i can sit is in my supra

i get a crick in my neck when it veers towards the petrol station

when i drive it ,But the seats are great.

Believe it or not, I sometimes get a numb bum from the facelift Recaro seats...it gets a bit uncomfortable after a while...

hahah i wish, no, the MR2 seats hugged really nicely and never hurt my lower back after a few hours, had an AE86 and a mazda 323. I don't know if it's because the Supe's seats are cloth, I just feel like i'm unsupported in the lower back region in the chairs.

I find it extremely comfortable, even long distance. My only niggle is lack of sideways support sometimes.

Yeah, especially the slippery leather lateral action, but they are so very comfortable IMO.
