jim_supra
I got an advisory:( First time in four years. 'Plastic sills'. I havent read it properly but whats wrong with plastic sills ? The only reason I can think of is that the sills are loose or falling off as loose body trim is an M.O.T fail. Very Odd.

You need to take your car elsewhere, what's next, excessive dirt on car?
CarlT67
Yea my last one was an advisory on slightly damaged jacking points, which happened before I got the car. I was thinking, what can I do to fix that apart from bash them a bit with a hammer..? Sometimes I think they have to find things..... jim_supra
You need to take your car elsewhere, what's next, excessive dirt on car? An MOT tester can refuse to test a car if it is too dirty!

I do have a damp shock, will that be a fail? Not if you cover your dampness just before you arrive . However we all fear the MOT, but at least when you car passes you know that it is in a safe condition to drive, i.e. brake lines etc....gives me extra piece of mind

Burna
It has always been on my MOT Ewen. Usually says something like 'Sills not checked due to plastic sill covers'. Nothing to worry about I'd say
dr_blackman
Mine had 2 adviserys back in Jan, rear brake pads wearing but ok for time being -replaced straight away Rear suspension bush- yet when i asked my garage about it he laughed and said nout wrong with them - so i'm guessing they have to put something occasionally lol
