and when I find them what do I do with them? :stupid:

Thanks.

Chris.

I am not sure where they are but pretty certain that they are not located above the drivers footwell. I am not even sure if it is a relay, but would have thoght so as there must be some cutout in the circuit to stop the motor when the mirror has completed its move.

I have had a lookaround but can't find anything that stops them working if you pull it out.

I wondered if it is a switch contact problem; as in the past three months my right mirror has failed to move out three times, it always works when I tried it again. I may be worth taking the switch out and spraying it with switch cleaner.

I don't think this problem has every been sloved on the BBS

What the main switch on the dash board......how do you get it out, does it just pop out........:search:

yeh, take the dash panel off and unclip the plug. Mine was a wire that went into the plug, not the actual switch, if all the wires on the plug are fine maybe try a new switch?

Thing is the switch works on one side, just the other doesnt flip in, so I know the switch itself is ok, but it could be conectors on the back of it for the other side, as I know that motor is ok as I have replaced the whole wing mirror intially thinking it was probably the motor that had gone...... :(

do all irrors move in and out, i understand some are electric and some are not but can you manually fold your mirrors in to stop people from walking into them?

Yes they are quite stiff but all mirrors fold.

Electric folding ones are manually overridden and manual ones have a strong detent to push past. They tend to click quite horribly when you do this:blink:

The relay that operates the motor directly is inside the mirror itself.. Its a door card off jobby.

Looking at the wiring diagram, it is simply a power feed to the switch unit, which then goes directly to the mirror unit...so nope I don't think there is a relay :)

I have those flippy mirrors but the right hand side one has stopped working!

I have listened to it the motor does not make any noise when activated, Is there a fuse for each mirror???

What should I do????

:stupid:

Chris ;)

hope these help
