It's woven stainless, excellent airflow and it'll stop a brick:) Had mine on about 3 yrs and it comes up like new cause it's stainless, much better than the cheap ali plasterers mesh and galvanised chicken wire. Tart:D Yeah you are right though, wear gloves and if you can get hold of some small bolt croppers then it makes it easy.
