RobSheffield Posted December 25, 2004 Share Posted December 25, 2004 first of all, hello forum folks. first post, cos its christmas afternoon, im bored, had my dinner etc i know BPU stands for 'Basic Performance Upgrade' but what, specifically does it involve? could some knowledgeable chap (or chapess) post a list of what is involved what are the benefits in terms of increase in power, 0_60, qtr mile etc i have done a search, didnt find much, but i know from much forum experience that its because EVERYONE but me knows what its about, and that its only cos im a newbie that i dont know!!!! thanks in advance Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think it's: - remove cat(s) - aftermarket exhaust - induction kit (maybe - not required) If you have these, you'll also probably want: - fuel cut defenser - colder spark plugs - restrictor ring in exhaust (for Jap-spec cars) - medallion I'm in Sheffield too, in Crosspool at my mum's house. Geezabloke - thanks for that, most helpful been looking into a jap motor for about 6 months now, and dont currently have a Supra, and probably wont be getting one til around august, as i will be 25 by then, so most of my questions are research more than actually 'wanting to do anything to a car i have' for the record, im quite happy with this site, after being nearly laughed off the Skyline GTR site (and realising they are way too expensive to run!) and being largely ignored on the Impreza site (and realizing they are way too common!) thanks for your replies you guys Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
