I have the XS 3600, it does everything it needs to do.

I wired the connector onto the battery and extended the cable down under the passenger headlamp, at the same time I extended the cable on the unit itself and now it can reach out of my garagem, onto the drive and up through the front bumper.

I've had the car on trickle for many months and never had an issue starting it up again.

http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=135255 chats about a few units but I think most people settled on the CTEK.

Avoid the solar ones, they are poo unless you spend a small fortune.

I have used and recommended these. They are safe with gel type race batteries, too, if you have a Red Top Varley or equivalent. They do a bigger version, as well.

I got mine from Lidl last year - £12.99 , it's made in Germany.

I don't think it's a coincidence that it has the same buttons and display leds as the Ctek charger which is considerably more expensive.

It works perfectly, so why pay more?
