1998 VVTI Tiptronic Twin Turbo £7950

74K Miles

Gun Metal Grey

Full Leather

MOT till Feb 2010

Very Tidy

This car is just a piece of genius. Best car I have ever owned. Now its time for a change (or mistake depending!):

Upgrades:

Car is pretty much stock with the following exceptions/enhancements.

  • 18” Antera Alloys (I have just put new rear tyres on)
  • HKS Super Dragger exhaust (just right for me, not too loud)
  • HKS Induction kit
  • Pioneer BlueTooth head unit with phone kit and IPOD interface
  • Bazooka bass tube nicely and discreetly fitted in boot.
  • Clifford CAT 1 Alarm/Immobiliser with two fobs

Service and History

I bought the car off the Forum well over a year ago here:

http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=142612&highlight=1998

I paid £9K for her then including twisting Ben’s arm for the Pioneer unit that he did not want to include (sorry Ben!). Since then I have covered about 6000 trouble free miles. The Supra has been a weekend and summer drive for me.

I have the full service history since entry into the UK in 2002.

The Cambelt was done at 100Km whilst still with Ben. I have the receipts.

I have the mileage certificate at the point that the clock was converted to MPH.

During its stay with me I have had no problems with her what so ever. The only work done has been service items as follows:

  • All Pads (front and rear) changed
  • New rear tyres for MOT
  • Oil and filter at 66K Miles (I like to do it every 5K)

Any faults or considerations worth mentioning?

• The wheels are not perfect, I have included a pic of this. It’s not noticeable unless you are looking closely.

• The plastic wind deflector trim over the passenger side door is cracked; see pic (thanks babe!). You have to buy them as a pair and I never got around to it: £75ish I think.

• There are two small under paint corrosion bubbles slowly forming at the front of the bonnet (pics). Will eventually need refinishing.

• The rev counter does this very very quiet tick tick thing!

Still a nice car.

I think it's Quick Silver rather than Gun Metal.

That's odd, seeing as the bonnet is alloy. You sure it's corrosion or could it just be the paint has blistered a little?

Edit to add:

Ah, the attachments are there now. Yeah that looks like rust. How strange.

Thanks Jake.... Sorry I saw the blistering and just assumed. I did not know the bonnet was ally!

Thanks for the info.

Nice car, is there confusion to the mileage?

Not sure... how have I confused you? (it is entirely possible!).

Title says 67k miles, in the ad you have written 74k miles.

Arh....... Damm. Yes Sorry... I bought it at 67K! Its now 74K. So sorry for the confusion.

I cannot edit the title. Could a mod do this for me please?

Cheers

Might have considered this at about a year from now. Good luck with the sale, looks great.

Thanks guys.

I got some interest from a Swiss blokey over on PH but I think the cash became an issue (when isnt it!). Hmmmm Autotrader time.... Plan C!

Bumping myself

Hmmm not much interest and been around a month since the last post. The autotrader generated a bunch of ammusing Scams but not much else.

Anyway .... its still here!

Bump

I'm serious. I will let it go for £6900. Seen another car I would like and I am feeding the price to change. I will let it rest here for a few days and then it goes to the world.

Move now or loose it.

Cheers

Might be interested since thats my fav colour! But unfortunately no one will buy my NA for the price I expect :(

Thanks Jonathan. Since my price drop to £6900 I have had two separate offers of £6k dead.

I just can't accept that surely!? Anyway I have said "no".

But I appreciate the offers.

Cheers

Your car is worth more than 6k mate... Its in mint condition not much damage or faults. I would hold on a little unless you really need to shift it.

I just need to sell mine off for 5k minimum and I can pay you very close to your asking price ;)
